Is anyone still watching Grey’s? I thought the opener was supposed to be a two parter but looks like sky witness is only showing one. Grrr. Anyone else excited? I still miss Cristina etc but will always watch!

I also don't like Meredith with DeLuca. He doesn't even come close to Derek. She needs an equal to challenge her and keep her amazing.

RosaWaiting · 14/04/2019 22:46

never

Meredith is amazing. She doesn't need anyone to keep her that way. As Cristina said "he is not the sun - you are".

I suppose it's hard to know where to go with Mer after she's won 2 x Harper Avery. I imagine it was never the plan to keep her central after that, but I think we could do with another central character tbh.

love speculating about what scriptwriters could do. I wonder if they are hedging bets or if they even know when the last season is?

Elementary ended because they were told it was the last season - so all filmed towards that - then the network told them they could have another one! they work on quite tight schedules I think. Sex and the City reintroduced Big in Season 4 because of fans wanting that - I think they had already started filming. I think PWB put Godmother in Fleabag as a late addition because Olivia Colman agreed to it?

must be well exciting working on those scripts.

@neverbee Kenpner married Matthew on the day of Karev's wedding & went off with him. I was never a fan of her, but do miss her & Arizona. I can't believe they got rid of Arizona but then have DeLuca's sister - she's a crap character.

jamiecooks · 15/04/2019 20:33

I would quite happily be Alex Karev’s Sex slave

neverbee · 15/04/2019 22:15

Did you see jo karev' face at the end on Wednesday? Something bad has happened.

RosaWaiting · 15/04/2019 23:12

agree DeLuca's sister is a crap character
don't think much of Deluca tbh

was Arizona written out or did the actress choose to leave? I miss Callie as well.

jamiecooks · 16/04/2019 02:43

Do you think jo and Alex are related so can’t have kids and that’s what she’s found out?

TheweewitchRoz · 16/04/2019 15:17

@RosaWaiting neither Arizona nor April wanted to leave - it was all over Twitter at the time as both were surprised when they found out.

I reckon Jo will have just found out her mum doesn't want to know her, nothing more than that.

neverbee · 16/04/2019 15:31

Arizona went to New York to be with Callie. Not sure if it was because she wanted to go or not.

RosaWaiting · 16/04/2019 15:54

Roz oh what a pity.

TheweewitchRoz · 16/04/2019 18:36

I know.

@neverbee they definitely didn't want to leave but no idea why they were written out as they were fan favourites (albeit I didn't like them much but do now miss them as I now realise they were characters I cared about!)

Loopytiles · 16/04/2019 19:31

Did April take their DS?

I know TV is never realistic about parenting and childcare, but Grey’s is the worst. Meredith manages to be a single parent, high flying surgeon, socialise and go on dates, DC v rarely appear.

TheweewitchRoz · 16/04/2019 20:18

I can't remember what they did with Harriet - I think they share custody but like you say, you never see the children Grin

neverbee · 16/04/2019 20:44

Callie is in madam secretary now if you miss her. It's quite entertaining too.

SavageBeauty73 · 17/04/2019 20:44

I'm seen a spoiler for Jo Kerev and it looks full on.

Arizona actress wanted the same money as Meredith and Sondra sacked her

TheweewitchRoz · 17/04/2019 22:40

I didn't know that @SavageBeauty73 - very greedy & presumptuous to think she's on a par with Meredith if that's trueConfused

Really enjoyed tonight's episode - felt like it was one from the old days, although I would have preferred Meredith to Teddy as really not a Teddy fan (plus where was her baby bump or has she had it already?)

SavageBeauty73 · 17/04/2019 23:09

@TheweewitchRoz best episode in a few seasons. Absolutely drained. I cried a lot. Teddy is so annoying but I was glad it was her. It showed a different side.

TheweewitchRoz · 17/04/2019 23:11

I cried too - first time I've done that to an episode in ages (when I used to cry every single time).

SarahTancredi · 18/04/2019 10:43

Just watched last nights episode. It was one episode back on track with how it used to be. I hope for more of the same.

I dont mind teddy. I do hate it though when they turn good and likeable characters into annoying waste of time ones.

Teddy is in danger of having it head that way. She deserves to be more than just Owen's potential love interest. She was an amazing surgeon who trained Christina yang for heavens sake. Give her more.

I feel awful for Amelia too. Her back story in private practice really shows whi she is and what she is capable of and greys has never done her justice and its time for her to start getting what she deserves too.

TheweewitchRoz · 18/04/2019 13:06

Very good points @SarahTancredi - I'd totally forgotten that Teddy trained Cristina.

Agree re Amelia - I didn't like her at all until I watched Private Practice and Greys aren't doing the character justice at all now.

TVname · 18/04/2019 21:11

Last night's episode had me crying throughout, definitely back to where it should be

RosaWaiting · 19/04/2019 09:25

"Teddy is in danger of having it head that way. She deserves to be more than just Owen's potential love interest. She was an amazing surgeon who trained Christina yang for heavens sake. Give her more."

so much this. I adored Teddy as soon as she arrived.

Watched Wednesday's ep last night. Incredible. Depressing of course, but such a tribute to the sisterhood.

TVname · 19/04/2019 14:18

They'd do well to get rid of Owen and then give Teddy and Amelia better storylines that don't involve him.

SarahTancredi · 19/04/2019 14:50

I hope they give webber some decent story like soon too.

They have him doddering about like a dinosaur at the moment.

He was the chief. He trained every body in the building at one point or another either directly or indirectly.

I'd like to see a return if the character or talked down a shooter in the hospital. Who had genuine affection for his staff and for the hospital. Who everyone felt they could turn to.

Where did he go.

TheweewitchRoz · 19/04/2019 15:21

Couldn't agree more @SarahTancredi and @TVname
