Is anyone still watching Grey’s? I thought the opener was supposed to be a two parter but looks like sky witness is only showing one. Grrr. Anyone else excited? I still miss Cristina etc but will always watch!

How Meredith is resisting Deluca is beyond me. Or why.

I watched it last night. I'm really struggling to stay with it, I sadly think they've gone too far with it now. The storylines are just awful and the attention to medical detail has just gone out the window. The scene with Owen and Teddy in the lift was just dreadful. Would someone really spread someone's ribs open with a car licence plate ............. can you imagine the litigation afterwards???!

They used that storyline already too Catniss do you not remember Ben doing the same with a clipboard around s.12. IRRC he got suspended for a while.

The bit with the maintenance man in the lift made me gasp.
I do think it's gone off the boil in the last few series though. I just don't care about many of the new characters.

Just watching episode 1 season 1 again. Richard, Meredith and Bailey look SO young.

Not enough Deluca tonight! Was hoping for another moment with Meredith like the lift scene last week...

I'm just not feeling it anymore - don't feel like I care about any of them (although did love the scenes with Meredith & Deluca - they were hot!).

Really can't be bothered with the whole love triangle with Teddy & Amelia too! Owen just needs to put Amelia out of her misery & get with Teddy - just skip the angst part!

The blatant cultural stereotyping in this episode seemed out of place for the show's usual ethos.

I find Maggie the most irritating character ever. I'm so bored of Teddy and Owen.

More DeLuca and Meredith please. And Bailey.

I can see that maybe they wanted to bring in the lessons learned from Dunblane, but were the kilts and bagpipes necessary, or the 'comedy' of Alex not understanding the accent?

I liked the scottish madness! You could just see own resisting going full on scots and taking an OD in a grubby edinburgh tenement :)

I like the bloke from ally mcbeal. I think he and teddy really work. I thought he was going to be an irritating rehash of his ally character at first, but i am drawn to him...

I would love to see amelia have a healthy pregnancy. The storyline in private practice was heartbreaking.

I read on Twitter that McKidd (who is Scottish) directed it, which makes it seem more forgivable.

Ah ok. Makes sense. And I love Owen. I find Teddy annoying.

I assumed it was definitely a McKidd directed episode. Made me smile as I could sense he was struggling not to slip into full Scottish accent.

It was lovely to see Billy Boyd again and them addressing the gun control.

OMG! Hasn't Baby grown up?! I thought it was her but her voice had changed.

I did not recognise Jennifer Grey at all until you pointed it out.

No WAY! I had to rewatch to look for her!

I'm enjoying it still on the whole. The build up scenes with Meredith and DeLuca have been hot. I think Teddy and the Neuro guy from Ally McNeal are good together but can't see Owen and Amelia staying together the way things are at the moment.

Presumably it’s an in joke for kevin mckidd. I thought the Dunblane dig was also cleverly done- i didn’t see where the reference was going at first, i thought they may be pointing out gc doesn’t stop shootings

Kevin mckidd has, or had a pretty strong scots accent iirc in trainspotting.

Teddy - cannot stand her. The actress is 49 - so definitely an elderly first time mother
