Yes something not right there. His girlfriend on the other hand (in the audience) looked on so adoringly at him (on Saturday) - urging him on and looking completely invested in him. What a kick in the teeth.

It's tainted Strictly a bit for me this week.

How could he let her sit in the audience knowing it was going to leak? They seemed to clock the cameras, surely it going to press was inevitable. Did they think someone had been paid off?!

The fact she was in the audience Saturday (obv the results show is filmed then too) and her reaction on Twitter makes me think she didn't know. What a git.

Shirley wants chemistry between the dancers, it's not surprising this sort of thing happens.

I can understand he doesnt have to be out with his gf on her birthday... there could have been any reason for that . But to snog in public like that...and then stay schtum about it.or i wonder if they told her right before the live show and rhats why she cried so much.

A poster earlier said there seemed to be some tension between Seann and Katya during the Results Show and as it is filmed later on Saturday night I wonder if they were alerted to the footage about to be published in The Sun on Sunday? Do papers give people they are about to write about a chance to comment before publication, would they have contacted the BBC/Show Producers for a comment?

In earlier series relationships between dancers and their partners haven't caused too much backlash - Flavia and Matt di Angelo for example but I think this between Seann and Katya will and I don't think the public will accept the 'drunken mistake' excuse.

A poster earlier said there seemed to be some tension between Seann and Katya during the Results Show Sorry I'm over-invested but their body language was totally in sync.

I'm glad they're going to continue actually.

If I were Seann I'd be worried about other conquests creeping out of the woodworks, very worried indeed...

Thry shouldn't have to pull out imo. People can choose to not vote for them or vote for them as they see fit. The judges need to judge on their dance. Katy can do whatever is best for her / her and Neil but ultimately has a career to think about. Seann is seemingly single now so doesn't have a relationship to salvage.

The Beeb won’t be happy they’ve had to dignify it with a statement.

Just seen photos of Seann and Katya taken this morning. He looks devastated. She doesn’t look too bad. To be honest I feel for all four of the people involved.

Strictly have pushed showmances before, even when one (or both) have been in a relationship (although not married) so it would be a bit hypocritical. Vincent and Flavia were engaged before she danced with Matt.

I think it would have been classier to withdraw from the competition tbh. I don't think they'll get many votes this week. Whether they make it through the dance-off depends who they are up against though.

But then that's fine, because half the scoring is popularity.
However I'm not sure there's a kissed someone inappropriate clause in their contract. Pulling out for a bad back would be too obvious. Flavia pulling out may well not get her contract again and could affect their off screen shows.

Yeah but they weren't as good as married as he was asked about marriage and he basically laughed and went "lol no fucking way". He may not have used those words, lol.

I think the Beeb will be loving this and only thinking about the ratings for next week as everyone tunes in to see the awkwardness between Katya and Seann and whether Neil will kill Seann.

The voting public will scrutinise their every move now! I think it would have been better for him to withdraw and limit the damage.

This will also put even more married celebs off from joining Strictly next time.

Looking at his girlfriend in the audience on Saturday night - no, I don't think she had any idea. Agree that it's going to put more people off, they won't want the scrutiny and the judgement.
