Hi everyone, the last thread was nearly full. Is Imran so short of work he can take on a case at 2 mins notice?

Yes, Jim and Hannah did bugger off, with no inquiries from the police about their scams, it’s ridiculous that Liz would let them get away with it! Completely out of character for her. I stopped watching Emmerdale because I was sick of all the characters, especially Robert, and I’m heading the same way with Corrie, especially since watching Classic Corrie everyday, it shows how much it has deteriorated since then.

Liz was scammed out of her £10k savings in the most cruel way possible. Of course she'd inform the police! It's fraud! I wish the scriptwriters would try to be plausible.

Would anybody like to fill me in on PLaNC? I can remember this:
Peter and Leanne were married at some point. That's how Leanne ended up with Simon. I have no recollection at all of Nick and Carla, even though I know I watched it when they were married (?) Peter and Carla nearly got married (did they actually make it?) but then the stuff about Peter having an affair with Tina came out. Nick and Leanne were a couple (were they married?) but Nick left because everyone found out that Oliver was not his, but Steve's. I don't know if this is in the right order. Have I missed anything? Why does Carla hate Nick? Why did they split up?

Totally off topic (Though prob more interesting at the minute) but is it just me that finds the adverts for durex lube inappropriate in the corrie ads?

Leanne and nick were married as teenagers - they ran off to Gretna green. Then got divorced.
I don't think they remarried at any point?

I find it hard to remember all the different PLaNC permutations but from what I can recall...

Nick & Leanne were married as teenagers. Can't remember why they split up.

Leanne married Peter. At some point prior to their wedding I think she had an affair with Nick. Leanne and Peter divorced because he had an affair with Carla.

Nick and Leanne got married again I think. He slept with Kyle just before the wedding and then had a brain injury when David attacked him. I think that led to him divorcing Leanne again but I can't remember if they actually got married the 2nd timeConfused

Peter and Carla got married. They divorced because of his affair with Tina.

Carla and Nick got married. They divorced because she slept with Robert. I think the marriage lasted about an hour.

Nick and Leanne got back together again. They split up because he was jealous of all her baby fathers (Peter and Steve). He almost died in quicksand but Peter unfortunately saved him and he left the Street. But sadly not for long...

It now seems Peter and Carla are getting back together.

Yes... it was Peter who was on his deathbed when he married Leanne. I think he got injured in some kind of accident (the tram crash??) and wasn't expected to pull through so they got married in hospital. He was meant to be paraplegic after that. He got better though Grin

Oh yes, Peter was supposed to have sustained massive injuries after the tram injury. I completely forgot about the deathbed wedding. Wasn't he meant to be dying as they said the wedding vows. The miracle that is Weatherfield GeneralGrin

A bit like Ken's stroke. He spoke out of the side of his mouth for a week and then was completely cured.
