Hi everyone, the last thread was nearly full. Is Imran so short of work he can take on a case at 2 mins notice?

I think Liz had no choice but to turn up due to financial difficulties meaning she had to keep the job... she was discussing all that with Eileen in the previous scene. I don't think it was down to brass neck.

I know, I saw her talking to Eileen after visiting the medical centre to ask for shifts. In reality I would rather walk across hot coals than have to face the woman who husband I had slept with (I’ve never done it but I imagine that would be an unpleasant work environment! ) she could at very least have asked if it was possible to do most of her shifts when Jenny wasn’t rota’d on to work. She could also ask Steve for help, she lives with him so I’m sure he would cover her rent and living costs until she got sorted. She could ask if he had any shifts in his taxi office, he’s away for a couple of weeks so she could take on whatever admin he isn’t doing while he is away. She could ask round all the other businesses in the street if there was any work, go to the job centre (you can do that online these days.) in real life there is loads she could do before deciding she had no choice but to stay at the rovers but I get it’s a plot device for future tense scenes

Hang on, is the flat she lives in the one above the taxi office that Steve owns?

Just googled, it is! so no rent to pay. I’m sure Steve would feed his mother until she found some other work.

Is there an invisible force field repelling people from registering with job agencies I wonder? Liz has admin experience, she could do some temping.

Oh god can we have a plot line where Michelle doesn't cry and wail?? She's a hypocrite- last week she was kicking off because Ali went to save him, now she's kicking off because he killed him.

And if they wanted to be even more repetitive with their plots, Leanne and split up because he couldn't cope that she had a baby after one night stand with Steve.., It would be something that could happen again!
