Hi everyone, the last thread was nearly full. Is Imran so short of work he can take on a case at 2 mins notice?

Ahhh poor Jenny! Sad

Clionba · 15/10/2018 21:08

Poor Jenny indeed. She plays the part well. Very subtle. Broken hearted.

IStandWithPosie · 15/10/2018 21:26

Yep she’s fantastic.

CoolCarrie · 15/10/2018 21:37

Best actress in the series at the moment.

Clawdy · 15/10/2018 22:21

I agree Jenny's a good actress - but not when she is playing a "drunken" scene, giggling and talking loudly in the bar. Luckily she doesn't do that much now!

Clawdy · 15/10/2018 22:26

Vicky is being horrible to Sinead because she's married to Daniel now, and part of the Barlow family, who Vicky hates, because of the Simon/Vicky's son trouble.

LoveMySituation · 15/10/2018 22:32

Hope Nick doesn't stay. Liked the first two incarnations of him but always hated this one Yes I am that oldGrin

Clionba · 15/10/2018 22:39

Clawdy she's ok with Peter, though, and he's Simon's dad?

OP posts:
Clawdy · 15/10/2018 22:50

I think she knows her job depends on Peter. But, yes, it doesn't really add up.

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 15/10/2018 22:51

I really grew to like Nick when he was with Carla and then he became all bitter and twisted and then I grew to hate him, was so disappointed he survived the quick sand.

Clionba · 15/10/2018 23:01

Vicky wasn't previously obnoxious, was she? Very odd. I'm confused about Leanne, Carla, Peter and Nick. It's a bit of a merry go round.

OP posts:
PrincessScarlett · 15/10/2018 23:04

I think the reason Vicky gets on with Peter is nothing to do with her job being dependant on him but that she will be Peter's next fling. He must be due one anytime now and he can't keep going round the same women.

Clionba · 15/10/2018 23:06

PrincessScarlett that does appear to be signalled at the moment!

OP posts:
EachandEveryone · 15/10/2018 23:08

I can’t remember why nick left. Was he with Leane or Carla at the time?

thenightsky · 15/10/2018 23:19

I thought the final scene with Jenny putting on lipstick and a brave face, then retreating to the back room to break down, was reminiscent of the Corrie of old with Bet Lynch.

PrincessScarlett · 15/10/2018 23:38

I think Nick left because he couldn't handle Leanne having Steve's baby. She got pregnant just before she got back with Nick (again) and they were going to pass the baby off as Nick's but that didn't work out.

keepondreaming · 15/10/2018 23:38

@thenightsky I thought exactly the same. Bet would step into the back room, put her lippy on, take a deep breath and re-enter the bar with a broad beaming smile, while her heart was breaking. Jenny was born to be landlady of The Rovers!

Honeyroar · 15/10/2018 23:45

They really should have left him in that quicksand.

Redshoeblueshoe · 16/10/2018 07:16

Jenny really was brilliant.

IStandWithPosie · 16/10/2018 09:36

Yes!! Definitely. I saw bet yesterday in classic corrie. She was a fantastic landlady. Jenny just needs bigger hair and she’s half way there.

PrincessScarlett · 16/10/2018 10:00

Can't believe Liz was so heartless to turn up for her shift. I'm looking forward to some brilliant scenes behind the bar with Jenny and Liz.

Agree, that final scene with Jenny putting on her lipstick was classic and quite moving.

KlutzyDraconequus · 16/10/2018 10:47

I hope Jenny eventually kicks Johnny, the rotten littke toad, out. He shouldn't be allowed to get away with it.
Give him hell Jenny..

Honeyroar · 16/10/2018 11:21

You see that quite often on here, where the wronged wife focuses all her venom on the other woman and lets the husband get away with it. They were both awful. They both deserve grief, in fact Johnny was worse.

IStandWithPosie · 16/10/2018 12:30

Can't believe Liz was so heartless to turn up for her shift.

I know! That was so cruel. And she didn’t even have the decency to look sheepish. AND she was late! Johnny should have had the guts to to the right thing and sack Liz. He’s a pathetic excuse for a man.

IStandWithPosie · 16/10/2018 12:31

I hope thats the new writer and a sign of things to come.
