Oops! Just posted on the old thread and it passed 1000 messages and died. Thought I had better start a new one quick!

Take your friend if there's even the slightest chance of meeting Lee.

lyrabelacqua · 18/06/2007 11:43

Oh, and opening night is July 17th i think. There are previews before, from the 6th, but no sure how these work.

Berrie · 18/06/2007 11:49
Grin
Berrie · 18/06/2007 11:49

oggs....and what do you and partner do all evening?

oggsfrog · 18/06/2007 12:01

I've just booked tickets

They are the cheapest, furthermost from the stage, up in the Gods requiring a seatbelt to stop me plummeting down, but I'm sooooooooo pleased

Berrie, no castle unfortunately, a river not a loch, but am surrounded by trees and hills.
Lots of heather to frolic in, but at this time of year not advisable unless you want to be eaten alive by the midges.

Yee - haaaa.

Did I mention I'm going to see Joseph?

Berrie · 18/06/2007 12:13

How lovely...the location I mean!
How lovely that you got tickets too, now there is something to look forward to!

oggsfrog · 18/06/2007 12:39

Ooh I'm so excited.

We will be very far away from the stage though...

With a pair of high definition laser sights I'll probably even be able to hazard a guess as to which one is Lee/Joseph

They will have those little binocular thingies that you put 20p in the slot for won't they?

RTKangaMummy · 18/06/2007 12:43

50 pence !!!!!!!!!

oggsfrog · 18/06/2007 12:47

Bargain

Gawd it's years since I've been to a London musical.

oggsfrog · 18/06/2007 12:48

so excited I've forgotton how to spell

RTKangaMummy · 18/06/2007 12:54

And if yours get stuck go to an usher and tell them cos they have some extra stashed away for the ones that won't open after taking your money

I don't know why they don't either mend them or put a sticker over the 50p slot so that people don't waste their money

Is anyone a fan of DANIEL BOYS from Joseph ???????

RTKangaMummy · 18/06/2007 12:55

Actually silly me

They don't repair them or put sticker over them cos ALW gets more money!!!!!!

lyrabelacqua · 18/06/2007 13:30

Yay, Oggs, you got tickets!!! When are you going (not before me I hope )
RT, do you work in a theatre? Which one?
I was a fan of Daniel Boys. I know he's going to be in Sweeney Todd at the Royal Festival Hall (?)
John Barrowman's doing panto in Birmingham this year if anyone's nearby.

lyrabelacqua · 18/06/2007 13:46

Well, I've got the CD and the B-side in brilliant. it's Lee, keith and Lewis singing Close Every Door (it could do without that bloody kids choir singing on it though).
It does show, however, how Lee's voice completely outclasses Keith and Lewis's.

Berrie · 18/06/2007 14:02

I have not heard it Lyra but they used to bang on about Keith's voice but Lee's had so much more...don't know the terms...light and shade...warmth....depth...musicality. Not a Keith fan me!

lyrabelacqua · 18/06/2007 14:14

I do like Keith's voice but I love Lee's (and not just because he's a sex god).
Lewis's is a bit mediocre.

oggsfrog · 18/06/2007 14:24

Lyra, I will be in the same room (albeit a 1500 seater room ) as Lee, on 7th August.

There were no matinee performances left so dd(7) will be having a late night

Bit worried now, as it said tickets may not be rec'd until 5-7 days before the event and I will be at my Mum's then. If I haven't rec'd them before I go I'll have to leave instructions for dh to send them on to me recorded delivery.

Have decided to take along my Dad's small binoculars, just in case of any problems.

I saw John Barrowman as Raoul in PotO years ago. He was very good. The Phantom was played by Peter Polycarpou who used to play Pauline Quirkes husband in "Birds of a Feather"

oggsfrog · 18/06/2007 14:26

Watched Lee singing "Paint it Black" again last night and it gave me goosepimples.

He really has an amazingly rich voice.

lyrabelacqua · 18/06/2007 14:50

That one always sends a shiver down my spine.
Have you watched many of the clips on that list I linked to? There's all kinds of stuff on there that I'd missed, like the last 7 singing on Paul O'Grady's show.
And damn, you are seeing it before me . You'll have to give us a blow-by-blow account.
Where are your seats? I'm in the Upper Circle, row C (cheap seats ).

oggsfrog · 18/06/2007 14:54

Hah, I'm in the even cheaper seats, Upper Circle, Back of Beyond, Row N

Ooh, no, havent looked yet. What with my slow connection speed I'll need to set aside a few weeks.

How's the Leefest project coming along?

lyrabelacqua · 18/06/2007 15:05

Still on 16 clips. I can find loads of others but no downloadable ones. Can't download fron youtube.

Berrie · 18/06/2007 15:07

Lyra, I will be in the same room (albeit a 1500 seater room ) as Lee, on 7th August.

Was so jealous to read this

Berrie · 18/06/2007 15:08

Lee understudied Raoul (sigh) Would rather see him do it than Barrowman

RTKangaMummy · 18/06/2007 15:09

I don't know if you guys have already linked or seen these

Berrie · 18/06/2007 15:11

What is that trollop doing?
