Oops! Just posted on the old thread and it passed 1000 messages and died. Thought I had better start a new one quick!

OP posts:

Lyra! My old Pal!
Trouble is there's not much to say now...
There is the 'Winner's Story' to look forward to. I can't afford to see the show...My friend, Lee's friend, must think I am a ridicupous old saddo, so I must curb my disguised but lascivious and slightly obsessive interest...I might even have to delete my Joseph recordings, Dh is getting fed up that there is no space to record anything!

lyrabelacqua · 15/06/2007 21:00

Don't delete them, you'll need them! I know I'm gonna need my fix come Saturday when Dr Who finishes and there's no Joseph.

oggsfrog · 16/06/2007 08:07

Hellllloooooooooooo.

Just found you.

Yeee haaaaaaaaah

Got the vids yesterday off my Mum, and dd and I watched the one where Craig gets the boot.

Then I drank too much wine and skipped to the final (but don't tell dd)

Lyra, you'd better not be giving up...... I'm waiting with baited breath for a Leefest

Actually after last night I'm warming to dd's choice. Keith may be a bit funny looking but he's got a helluva voice on him.

Berrie · 16/06/2007 11:53

There is a hole in my Saturday......

lyrabelacqua · 16/06/2007 14:58

Glad you found us oggsfrog.
what vids have you been watching? Have you got the whole series?
I'm at work this evening so I'll have something to take my mind off the empty space after Dr Who.
I'm still working on the Leefest. I have 16 clips so far, all of his performances, but no video diaries or anything. I'll let you know how I get on.

lyrabelacqua · 16/06/2007 17:34

Lee's going to be on the national lottery draw at 8pm today. We will get our fix after all!!!!

Berrie · 16/06/2007 18:29

Hurrah! Lyra you're a star!

lyrabelacqua · 16/06/2007 18:53

I am, indeed

oggsfrog · 17/06/2007 19:59

"What's this "Winner's Story" then? Is it similar to the one they did with Connie Fisher last year, up to the first night of the show?

I never get to know about any programmes what with not having tv reception.

If there are any progs about Lee can somebody give me a shout in advance, and then I can get my Mum to tape it for me? Pretty please.

The vids I mentioned Lyra, are the vids my Mum did me of the shows so I could see it. I only got to finally see the last three progs inc the final this weekend.

They're a bit hit and miss with beginnings and endings missing, and all mixed up with Dr Who, Casualty and stuff for dd and I'm missing most of one episode. But hey, without my Mum doing the tapes I'd have missed the lustworthy Lee altogether

lyrabelacqua · 17/06/2007 22:09

I don't really know any more about the winner's story, other than it's due out around Christmas (so long to wait!!!)
If they did one for Connie, I'm guessing it will be along the same lines for Lee.
He's going to be in Heat magazine soon too (don't know when exactly), presumably with some pictures for us to drool over.
Are you going to see the show? I'm going in September. It seems such a long way away

lyrabelacqua · 17/06/2007 22:13

Also, are you able to watch youtube clips? It seems virtually the whole series is on there so you could see anything you missed if you've got the time and the inclination.
Here's a useful page with links to dozens of youtube and BBC clips.

Clayhead · 17/06/2007 22:15

Hmm, I've got the inclination !!!

lyrabelacqua · 17/06/2007 22:54

Clayhead, me too but I'm trying to resist looking tonight.

Berrie · 18/06/2007 07:34

The thread lives on!

Berrie · 18/06/2007 08:07

So Lyra, what is it that you do when you work on a Saturday night? Might as well chat about something else!

lyrabelacqua · 18/06/2007 08:29

I'm a journalist. I just work Saturdays, early or late shift. it's good because i don't have to pay childcare and i get out of the house for a bit. Do you work?

oggsfrog · 18/06/2007 08:46

Hmm, Sept does seem a long way away, but I'm that you're going at all.

I live in Scotland so it's a helluva long way to go.

I do take dd to visit my parents down nearish to London at the end of July. The other day I realised that I could try to take her and my Mum during the fortnight we're down there ............. but it's a lot of money, and I have absolutely no interest in seeing it if Lee isn't in it that night. I'd be worried that the night/day I booked for would be his day off .

Berrie · 18/06/2007 09:14

He won't have a regular day off Oggsfrog. He'll only be off if he's ill or has booked a holiday. It is a lot of money you're right. Other than Lee, I don't really fancy it as I did a production with my year sixes a couple of years ago. I lived and breathed Joseph for months and I'm still thoroughly fed up of it!

Lyra, don't tell me, you work on the News of the World and that's why you were desperate for my juicy backstage Lee secrets!
I'm a teacher and no I don't work that's how come I get to spend all day on Mumsnet!

lyrabelacqua · 18/06/2007 09:25

No, not the NOTW. And I'd never betray the lovely Lee in such a way.
that reminds me, what were those juicy Lee secrets? Come on, you can tell us now.

Berrie · 18/06/2007 09:25

oggsfrog, no reception AT ALL?
Don't know whether to envy you or feel sorry.

oggsfrog · 18/06/2007 09:50

No, Berrie, no reception at all

We have a small portable that lives in a cupboard that we use to watch vids and dvds on.

Occasionally my Mum kindly videos (they've not worked out how to use a dvd recorder) certain things for me (in a very haphazard way - she misses the first/last 10 mins quite often, and they are all mixed up)
such as Robin Hood, Dr Who and obv Any Dream Will Do.

Just been looking for tickets and there are still a few to be had, way up in the Gods. Trouble is I've just phoned my Mum and they are actually 2 hours away from London . It's all a bit of a logistical nightmare......don't think it's gonna be possible to go....... bugger

lyrabelacqua · 18/06/2007 09:56

There are lots of places doing London packages, with tickets, hotel, meals etc. Might be worth looking at because i think there are some good deals out there.
if you go to ALW's Really Useful site you can enter a prize draw for tickets for the opening night. To enter you've got to register and then you're asked who the winner of ADWD was. Tough one, that...

Berrie · 18/06/2007 11:31

Ha! You're not getting A THING out of me now Lyra...Berrie gives a little shudder at the thought that she very nearly betrayed luscious Lee not to mention her friend!

Oggs, do you live in a castle on the edge of a loch surrounded by mountains and frolick all day in the heather instead of watching BoogieBeebies?

Lyra, thanks for the opening night tip!

Berrie · 18/06/2007 11:38

Right, am entered in competition, er when is opening night? Do I take Dh as payback for making him watch every Saturday or do I ask friend in case he can get me to meet Lee? Dh I think 'cause then he can drive me there and Lee will be too busy for friend anyway!

lyrabelacqua · 18/06/2007 11:41

Being a journalist doesn't make me untrustworthy. Anyway, I don't do showbiz, i do news and politics so Lee gossip wouldn't be of any interest professionally.
My interest in Lee is for purely personal reasons .

Right, I'm off into town to buy the CD.
