I so need a thread where I can talk about this drama and what happened. It was so good. I think the drama and the actors deserve an award.

In one way I wish they had concluded the story at one series. It's going to be too silly now.

I know what you mean but I think the characters and writing will be good enough to compensate for any plot failings.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 27/09/2018 09:03

Sandra Oh & Jodie Comer are just fabulous in this. (All the actors are very good.) Their facial expressions are amazing.

Jodie managed to make Villanelle both terrifying & lovable at the same, almost as if she could be the love child of Hannibal Lecter & Bridget Jones!
Jodie Comer has a bright future in front of her (Hollywood....if she wants it) & I think she was wasted in Dr Foster.

DolorestheNewt · 27/09/2018 11:26

Jodie Comer ... was wasted in Dr Foster.
Oh, I don't know, maybe that was a good way of easing into her career. I totally agree with you, she's outstanding, and the camera LOVES her. What a face.
Did you watch Thirteen (also Jodie C)? Not as slick by a country mile as Killing Eve, but I stuck with it and generally enjoyed it. I think it's still on iPlayer.

I agree but I didn’t like Dr Foster so maybe I’m a bit biased. Jodie’s fabulous, can’t wait to see her taking on even meatier parts.

CrumblyMumbly · 27/09/2018 15:19

I think Constantin's daughter will be back - she's fab. A great cast and amazing how you still warmed to Villanelle (does that mean female villain?!).

SeekingClosure · 27/09/2018 15:38

I bloody loved this, we finished it last night and I'm bereft!

Am I alone in wanting Eve and Villanelle to lez off at the end and start their own security/assassin agency in Paris? Confused

Jodie C is phenomenal isn't she. I first noticed her in a supernatural drama thingy with Michael Palin, which unfortunately had a very silly and disappointing ending.

I think- hope - that Konstantin is still alive. I love how he was referred to as 'the sexy man'. So much humour and lovely little touches in every episode! How Eve had 'amazing hair', the bit with the bedspread, the 'what a about it?' in the trashed room ...

I think I've got an obsession with Eve/Villanelle. I've even bought a fabulous green zebra scarf. Blush

Well, I wasn't expecting that!

Not now you've put the idea in my head, no.

firstdegreehb · 27/09/2018 16:26

I have a bit of a crush on Jodie cormer after killing Eve Blush

JustDanceAddict · 27/09/2018 18:09

agree re amazingness of Jodie and Sandra - the acting is fantastic, totally believed in their characters.
Both very attractive in different ways too.

chickhonhoneybabe · 27/09/2018 20:09

It’s bloody fantastic! I binge watched it at the weekend, I was hooked! Can’t wait for the second series

DontCallMeCharlotte · 27/09/2018 20:17

"Dealt with."

Botanicbaby · 27/09/2018 20:47

The earlier episodes were the best then it started getting sillier as it went along.

Spoof spy hilarity all round but the plot became confused and they didn’t make enough of some characters such as Eve’s husband and her assistant Elena.

Agree with PP, have a horrible feeling it will only get worse.

Themidnightcircus · 27/09/2018 20:50

I loved it....dh pointed out that Anna and Eve had the same hair. Was that a thing? Like her type

DolorestheNewt · 27/09/2018 21:00

themidnightcircus Yes, when Villanelle was talking about Eve without knowing who she was, she described her as having amazing hair (from seeing Eve in the hospital washroom when Eve let her hair down and then went to retie it, and Villanelle, who at that time was completely unknown to Eve, said "leave it down"). That comment makes sense when you see Anna.

Chuggachuggatoottoot · 28/09/2018 07:06

Why did Eve stick that knife in her at the end? She's even shocked herself with her behaviour. Strangely I found myself feeling sorry for Villanelle but why I don't know because she is evil, no remorse, no empathy even for people she has supposed to have liked/loved.

Lead performances so good, great to see Kim Bodnia again.

That ending after what was quite a tender scene really made me jump, I wasn't expecting that! If it was to avenge Bill, Eve should have finished the job, now she has really poked the bear.

SeekingClosure · 29/09/2018 17:22

I have to say that for me there was one weak point - Anna. She is a quite well known and recognisable (to me anyway) English actor and this broke the spell a bit, I thought, that we were to believe she was Russian. Her accent was all over the place anyway. And I also found it unlikely that gorgeous Villanelle would find her attractive, what with her being a mousy, drab sort of character who bore a startling resemblance to Steve Coogan.

ShalomJackie · 29/09/2018 17:30

Eve was bloody annoying .

Muggins123 · 29/09/2018 17:41

I watched this around june/July time (I'm not in the U.K.) - I think Eve's husband is involved somehow

Propolis · 30/09/2018 18:37

Anyone else think Villanelle has killed Eve's husband? She killed the other woman's husband, and he isn't answering the phone..... I know she was in prison and prob hadn't had time to kill him though.

Chuggachuggatoottoot · 30/09/2018 18:49

I bet if she hasn't she will now

I didn’t understand the Frank episode - when Villanelle and the other 2 hit men/women went to that village in the UK. She wasn’t Franks’s mother was she? Was she part of the 12? Was Frank part of the 12?

captainpantbeard · 30/09/2018 21:58

Frank’s ‘mother’ was a known Russian agent who was taken into custody, they tried to use her as a bargaining tool.

I’m confused about Kenny’s mum - why was she visiting Oksana at the prison and why didn’t Eve & Kenny mention it, or are they keeping it up their sleeve?

Chuggachuggatoottoot · 01/10/2018 12:29

I don't get how Constantine suddenly became a target when he was affectively her boss giving her the jobs.
