@popcorndiva yes - baby items needed versus total waste of money would be great! Was just saying to DH the other day there were so many things I bought for our first that we didn't need, I could have put the money towards better quality items that I could have used for all three of my children.

Nappy disposal unit and beautiful but wasted moses basket spring to mind!

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/07/2019 18:06

Oh yes the poo bin

Total waste of money and the smell when you empty it

Didn't see this but my Le Creuset pans and casserole are over 25 years old. Love them

woodhill · 29/07/2019 19:47

Yes definitely mismatched crockery and cutlery for uni and relatives cast offs. I only bought the odd thing.

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/07/2019 16:24

@woodhill do you put them in the dishwasher tho

On tonight

MELISSA and Jon didn’t have to worry about money in the past - but a a change in their circumstances means they need to tighten the purse strings

Obv anything they brought in the last they can’t save money .....😂😂

Stop buying designer handbags ...easy

SaxxedtotheMax · 31/07/2019 20:22

I dont understand why they didnt trial them with a 50p bar of soap to replace the 48 bottles of Shower Gel..surely ditch as much plastic aa possible?

All the branded shampoo & shower gel going straight down the drain at the swimming pool Shock

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/07/2019 20:48

£34k 🙀🙀🙀

But they’ve spent that already so it wont be a saving

I just don’t get it! Swap your fancy coffee machine and your Dualit toaster for cheaper models - they’ve already got the coffee machine and the toaster! They’ll probably last for years to come (I’ve had a Dualit for 20 years and it just goes on and on). When they break, yes, shop around.

Missingthesea · 31/07/2019 21:22

I suppose the idea is that someone watching it who might have felt they needed to have, say, a Dualit kettle will think "Oh, I can save £xx if I buy a different brand!"

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/07/2019 21:31

Always find funny when they don’t recognise their brand

Aftershave today

Wonder what her perfume was at 3.99

The things is with this show, at least half the time the more expensive things win. Buying cheap trainers is a false economy, I wear my Nike's pretty much everyday including at the gym and they have lasted years. A thick comfortable hoody is obviously better than a cheap thin one. It's just shocking how much stuff people have.

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/08/2019 07:35

And how many bags !!!

I have two. Daytime one. Evening smaller one

brittanyfairies · 01/08/2019 08:06

Her perfume comes from Lidl it's a dupe for Chanel's mademoiselle. It's very good, I use it during the day at work so I'm not wasting my good stuff.

mydogisthebest · 02/08/2019 12:52

I'd like to know if they give the people taking part a script or they really are that stupid?

"How many dresses do you think you have?" "Oh maybe 5 or perhaps 10". Answer 52. 52 dresses!!! Who has that many dresses and then thinks they only have between 5 and 10?

All those shoes too and handbags. I find it pretty sad.

The dad really annoyed me. £60 for a polo shirt, what an idiot and the son is going to grow up to be just as name obsessed

PrincessScarlett · 02/08/2019 13:11

I think the families on here needing help are either thick if they don't realise that spending so much on clothes is their problem or else it's a stealth boast about all the designer stuff they have.

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/08/2019 21:44

Sometimes the kids are only spoilt little shits as TANYA how they have been brought up

Yes 52 dresses is insane !!!

Struggling with this week and they've not even started Trying any cheaper options yet. The spending and piles of stuff are just obscene.

JustDanceAddict · 07/08/2019 20:14

Agree, Jay. She throws her clothes out after one wear? Disgusting. They really are pissing me off. What a waste.

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/08/2019 20:15

Oh forgot it was wed. Just come up in my on list

Goes to watch

NemoIsLost · 07/08/2019 20:16

I agree, they're ridiculous. Buying the kids toys every time they leave the houseShock You can't buy love!

I can't see Wes agreeing to non branded stuff, he's pathetic

JustDanceAddict · 07/08/2019 20:18

How do they afford it all w one wage?

ShatFic · 07/08/2019 20:18

Just tuned in to this for the first time. What are these two doing for jobs to be able to afford £36k on luxuries?!

woodhill · 07/08/2019 20:20

Think the cost of living is lower and housing but still.
