cloudy, IIRC she saw a town hall colleague's name on Imran's list of witnesses and remarked to Paula that the colleague couldn't possibly have witnessed anything untoward. Instead of letting the witness be called and cross-examined she phoned her and started off asking why on earth she was appearing for the prosecution; it swiftly deteriorated into Sally having a go, including something like "you'll regret it if you do testify". Other posters may have a different recollection of events!

Thanks, Optimist ! I must have dozed off and missed that! I know Sally is a snobby twit, but I did feel sorry for her when she had a bloody nose and was crying on the phone to Sophie.

You've got to wonder about the scriptwriters, though. Tracy finding out about the fire at her wedding venue from a print newspaper front page. Who finds news out that way anymore? Surely she'd have a feed on her phone or look at various updates. Ridiculous.

When Peter started talking about being fifty three and mucking up his life I thought Ken was going to chime in that he had done the same. On Classic Corrie at the moment Ken is about that age, has left Deirdre for Wendy Crozier, had to give Deirdre the house, had to sell his newspaper, split with Wendy and is now in digs. Sadly no mention.

Carla is completely unlikable since her return.

I agree re Carla being unlikeable she used to be one of my favourites.

I try not to make comments about characters' personal appearance, but have to make an exception in the case of Claudia's hair ... for the owner of a chain of supposedly upmarket hairdressing salons it's horrendous .

cloudyweewee Trousersmell was Eileen's fireman fella (Paul?) who was nicknamed that on here because of the expression on his face

Claudia’s hair is indeed a thing of wonder, I am transfixed when she is on, how does anyone get their hair that big?

Rula Lenska's hair has always been big, I think, Betty , it's the colour combo that has me clutching my pearls!

All this shit from Ken about not dumbing down the language of his story for the Gazette, I thought part of being a good writer was tailoring it to your audience? You'd think an ex teacher would know better

Ken's teaching was always a bit sporadic.

In classic Corrie, he's doing supply to keep the wolf from the door.

Watched for the first time in ages just to see how bad it all really is (I generally only follow this thread for updates). My god. The storyline and scenes with Jim and Kate's doppelgänger are the worst I've witnessed in a while and that's saying something.

Every few years they roll out a storyline where we are reminded of Ken's literary ambitions and now this latest short story yawnfest. For the first time I think the actor is really showing his age, I've never really noticed how 'old' Ken is until now.

Yet another innocent resident in jail. Has Corrie been on for so long the scriptwriters have just run out of ideas? Maybe it's time to call it a day.

I think she said previously this is the money from the sale of the pub.

Hannah's smirks over Liz's shoulder are making her look like a silly pantomime villain now. I thought she was a more subtle actor than that.

Totally clawdy. It really is shameful that Corrie are doing this to themselves.
