What exactly was the point of Peter's hair malfunction? He returned to normal in the next scene.

I just caught up on last night's episode...I actually felt sorry for Henry. He genuinely did love Gemma, and gave everything up for her. He was wrong to try to scam anyone, but she just didn't really care at all about him. Chesney's a snivelling little git too - they deserve each other.

What a ridiculous time filler the Tina look-alike segment was! As I'm only watching in patches I don't know if Carla is trying to get back with Peter, but what a silly set-up if it was! And the actress, was it Michelle Keegan playing Carina? I couldn't tell

I didn't think she particularly looked like her! I think Carla used it to test Peter. He passed, so..... On another note, Carla's fairly knocking the wine back again.

It's been on the slide for a while but the last few episodes have been really pisspoor. So much focus on the weaker/unlikeable characters and supposedly "serious" storylines completely forgotten about 5 minutes later (Seb's HIV, Robert's heart attack, Angie's kid's allergy, Rita's brain tumour, Billy and his fall swiftly followed by heroin addiction swiftly followed by complete recovery, Michelle getting shot, Carla's kidney, etc. etc.). I know I should stop watching but I've been watching it almost all my life and keep hoping it will improve. Who writes this stuff?

I'm the same as you, HouseOfMouse, and I remember when it was well written and with good characterisation. Witty, touching and you wanted to find out what happened! It's really poor at the moment.

Chesney is such an awful character played by a pretty poor actor.

I agree about Chesney - I have a horrible feeling they’ll try to pair him off with Gemma, and even though I’m not a Gemma fan I wouldn’t wish that on her.

And Sean is now happily pottering round the factory, making tea for Carla, who gave him his old job back instantly. All back to normal!

I can't remember when it was like that, not consistently at least. The odd episode is like the old corrie, but mostly it's just dross with over paid actors that couldn't get other work if they tried.

Sean back at the factory, all's well. All he needed to do to end his nightmare was to tell Billy! If they're going to do homelessness, just have a hint of realism.
