I was thinking Adam and Jenny. She's had such a shit time and deserves a fit young bloke. Either him or Imran.

Just caught up with Friday. Have I missed something or, if Henry was looking for Rita's cheque, what was he planning to do with it? Cheques aren't money - you can't pay some posh thugs off with a cheque made out to an old lady Confused

SumAndSubstance · 27/08/2018 12:03

I liked Steve's Sideshow Bob line though Grin

blackbunny · 27/08/2018 12:50

Henry looking for Rita's cheque seems to have been glossed over specially by Rita herself. We know Henry is a bit thick but I thought he was honest.
I suppose he could tipped Rita's name out and substitute his, but it would have to be damned good...

Clawdy · 27/08/2018 13:09

Rita did look a bit sceptical though. Think she is reserving judgment, but won't forget it.

thenightsky · 27/08/2018 13:18

I laughed at Steve's Side Show Bob comment too Grin

Optimist1 · 27/08/2018 15:01

I reckon Billy goes shopping here www.hammondandharperoflondon.com/

EachandEveryone · 27/08/2018 15:40

Is Jenny young enough to conceive? That would be nice.

Clionba · 27/08/2018 16:17

EachandEveryone that would be nice. I'd also like a positive, happy storyline! Smile

eddiemairswife · 27/08/2018 16:44

According to Corriepedia Jenny was born in 1971, so unlikely to conceive naturally.

ajandjjmum · 27/08/2018 16:47

So just about possible - would be a fantastic storyline. And quite relevant too, with more older women becoming mothers.

Clionba · 27/08/2018 16:52

I agree. It would be lovely for both of them, each having lost a son.

OP posts:
tinstar · 27/08/2018 16:56

My godmother had her last child aged 47 - so not impossible.

EachandEveryone · 27/08/2018 17:10

Yes I think a baby is just what they need. Who do we write to!

ajandjjmum · 27/08/2018 18:39

Hopefully they'll read it on here - so in 8/10 weeks or so, Jenny will start feeling queasy! Grin That would actually be a fabulous storyline - a real feel-good - as long as they didn't throw something horrible in there to screw it up!

cloudyweewee · 27/08/2018 19:49

WTF has Peter done to his hair? Confused

Clionba · 27/08/2018 19:51

He's trying to look young and hip, like father like son

OP posts:
cloudyweewee · 27/08/2018 20:08

His son looks like a knob. So it worked, then.

KlutzyDraconequus · 27/08/2018 20:40

Did that toff thug really sure bags are just a shilling? Corrie writers really are in cloud cuckoo land aren't they?

Clawdy · 27/08/2018 21:00

The toff thugs were like a silly comedy team. And were we supposed to be rooting for Chesney tricking Henry into getting in the car with them? He is so dislikeable.

Clionba · 27/08/2018 21:02

That was really terrible with the toff thugs. What are the script writers thinking? Just so badly done.

OP posts:
Deadringer · 27/08/2018 21:45

Toff thugs were ghastly. Surely Henry could appeal to his parents, I know they disowned him but surely they wouldn't allow him to be attacked over money, especially when they are wealthy. Daft storyline.

eddiemairswife · 27/08/2018 22:20

Peter's hairstyle is like Hitler's.

IHaveBrilloHair · 27/08/2018 22:40

I've just choked on my cuppa laughing at Peter/Hitler hair. Grin

Clionba · 28/08/2018 09:11

eddiemairswife I'm never going to be able to unsee that.... Grin

Only saw the last 20 minutes on catch-up. Appalling. Toffs, Gemma being saintly, Henry's bad acting and the non-existent chemistry between them both, Peter in the office - words fail me. He looked like Uriah Heep, humpback, greasy hairstyle, weak-eyed. Arrgh. And has Alya gone from factory boss to waiter?
