The Russians were like that in the instant restaurant though, spokecrwally critical but scored quite fairly/generously.

I found that bit of the competition quite hard to judge. The two groups were so partisan, that I couldn't tell if there really was an issue with e.g. the salt in the pasta al fungi, or if it was just backing the " team".
I could visually identify dishes like the parfait as "shite",or classify blueberry sauce with lamb as "bloody awful" based on knowledge of what the ingredients taste like. The pasta looked decent, but I didn't know, based on the bland and under-seasoned comments, if it was as any good as the flavour combinations and techniques looked fine, despite the faffing around.

Also, nobody seems to be especially penalised on timing. The Vietnamese pair in the first round took 4 hours to deliver what was essentially an omelette and scored highly.
If you had stood at the front of the table and individually cooked omelettes to order, it would have taken half an hour!

Georgie and Alicia are the ones I really don’t like at the mo. Group 1 are not as good cooks but nicer people lol.

Hat man is sooooooooooooooooo annoying, I have to say you would think after every round Kim and Suong would have learnt their lesson by now.

The botched twins are just bleugh, so nouveau nothing. Georgie and Alicia are very bitchy and not very nice girls would love to see how they do.

Though saying that I do prefer group 2 also. Delights Hat Man plus one are in elimination house, he was in danger of serving himself up he thought himself so amazing .

Have to say today I wish someone had told that boy not to talk with his mouth full!!! 😀

I’m in Ireland too -and it’s the Russians series I’m watching (on Sky Witness). Hat Man Alex is the biggest pain! Someone in Group 2 (Olga) described his talking at them in a very funny way during the episode on Tuesday night. Olga: “Alex just vomited this splurge of words into us...we’re feeling like it’s an AK47 round just shooting words at us”, and then Valeria added “Well you know, sometimes when crazy people trying to approach you it’s better to just walk on the side and let it do its thing”. I can’t wait to see him “doing his thing” in the elimination house tomorrow night!

I didn't understand the cricket in laws comments. They are one of the weakest teams. The second best Italians are the absolute worst. I like Suong's team but they make the same mistake in each challenge by taking too much on.

Omg Sonya and Hadil’s cooking makes me so hungry! They really are the best cooks. Even when they messed up on the delivery challenge their food was still good. Today’s looked delicious.

I think this will be a close elimination house.

I keep waiting for the ep in the preview from the first episode where Manu gets mad.

I agree, those prawn fritters look delicious. I would Google the recipe, but I'm afraid of spoilers.
I think the Chinese sisters should be in elimination, the dumplings might have been bland, but their chicken was so salty it was inedible.

Gemma is the weakest link when it comes to their team, it is her mistakes that constantly causes problems.

I agree with Sonja and hadil they definitely know their food as well as the Russians.

Ah feck I'm raging the Italian friends dodged the elimination kitchen, they missed the whole point of the challenge and still won, his smug face is unbearable.

Why are the challenges so different, one for votes and one for money.

The wannabe celeb sisters haven't got any nicer and they aren't very good.

I'm still rooting for Henry and Anna , they are great.

The Russians are brill, I love their dry wit and the Jordanians are bloody good cooks, I can't eat shellfish but their dish looked very tasty.

DP was saying, yes but the spices are Asian and it is fish, I told him one of the biggest mexican dishes in the States is a fish taco and that is exactly what they cooked. A fish bloody taco, can understand why Gemma was angry.

I quite like the botched sisters because they can laugh at themselves and like Anna said they’re fun. Not good cooks and won’t last much longer.

I’m preferring this series to last series even though I loved the teams and Amy and Tyson were amazing from the start (although first shown bitchy but then turned out to just be socially awkward and friends with everyone). Last season they dropped so many of the challenges and it was based at the MKR kitchen too much. The challenges themselves had barely any brief so it was basically cool what you like just in a different place.

This series feels more like the previous mkr format and like they will be saving the MKR kitchen to the finals or one or two more teams have gone.
