I think the best food won on the night. Also not sure how a 10 could be given after the lobster fail.
Wasn't emotionally involved with the final, just wanted to watch to finish off the series.

This is the first year I’m disappointed with the winners. They didn’t deserve to win given the crap ness of their food throughout the competition.

I have been googling what happened after. Apparently Kim and Suong no longer talk and stopped talking during filming only coming together for the shows.

Gosh that's so sad. But relationships must be put to a huge test during the comp

It was very fraught during the final between them. You could tell they were both getting annoyed with each other. Kim seemed to blame Suong for not enough prawns but she was the one that prepared the ‘right’ amount.

Sonya and hadil don’t have much contact now either apparently.

Seen that a few still hang out across the teams though. Stella and Jazzey have met up with Nic and Josh (Jazzey and Nic in particular), Twit and Hat a few times, and even the Botox sisters which is lovely.

Also Jazzey was on take me out after 😁

One of the botox sisters had a baby... was she pregnant during the show?

Just had a look and she’s due in October.

MKR season 10 is filming now so she would have become pregnant after.

Instagram confirms that S&J spend time with the Italian Brothers.

I'm a proper groupie now (ok groupie might not be the right word. Whatever following someone on Instagram is called).

Anna has a boyfriend. Jazzy is rumoured to be dating Nic.

Lots a people weren't too happy at who won. Much outcry at it being a fix; much upset with overcooked lobster and high marks, compare to lesser criticisms and lower marks.

It's been fun (well ignoring who won, and my not seeing the final). Thanks for joining me - see you next year (when I hope they realise we want people we like to win.)

Apparently mkr South Africa starts tonight. Not at home so haven't been able to check.

Just watched the final. (Well, I watched it until I saw Twat and Squealer started getting higher marks then I switched off). What a shit result. I hated the way she was shouting at Twat, and when he answered back did a teary meltdown and everyone was going 'oh no poor thing she's really upset'. Grrrrrrrr.

If Twat cried every time teardrops spoke to him the same way she talks to him they'd have needed an ambulance.

I felt 0.5% sort for Tears because Twat was in charge of the protein (or meat or fish FFS) and always left it to the last minute. When she was in charge , she had a meltdown because she was left all on her own. She didn't have the ovaries for the competition, Standard scoring protocol for tears: = adoring look, whispers "thank you so much" snuggle - pass the sick bucket, adoring look I'm fuming they won even though they were best in the day.

The ultimate instant restaurants came without much to prepare them. There wasn't enough in the MKR kitchen. I'm not keen on group challenges so didn't miss them.

I don't think Karen likes Colin. Did you see him pinch her pudding 😂?

Serious cooks go on Masterchef. MKR needs to decide if it's more like a big brother or a cooking show.

But isn’t that the point of MKR, it’s a bit of both. It has gone much further this season but I imagine they’ll have it back on track with the current season.

I think they took it too far this season. There was always a few bitchy couples but never to that level. Producers seemed to encourage it instead of nipping it in the bud

It was the group 1 vs group 2 thing that really spoilt it for me. I hope that's gone next series.
I also hope they dont pick anyone who can't cook - I mean has never cooked anything before and is proud of the fact. I've forgotten his name from the first group. He was a perfectly harmless individual but it was taking the piss to have gone on a cookery programme other than can't cook won't cook!

Yes, and his partner who he did it for wasn’t yhat great either with her iceberg lettuce and grated carrot salads.

I watched the first South Africa one. Not sure about it. There's only 5 teams. I will watch it on Monday and see then. This year's Australia one was the first I watched. Have been trying to find the old ones but haven't been able to.

Not sure I can commit to another load of MKR, though might give SA one a look. Milkandcornflakes, I’ve not watch the final because I’m too narked. I definitely need a life!!

Ok. I have caved watching MKR SA.

I can't start a thread as it'll be obvious I've a problem...

Only now have finally finished watching all episodes. Fast forwarded through the end as the tears and drama in both kitchens were a bit much. Saw on line that Emily got a lot of negative and nasty comments on social media, and she maintains the show was edited to make her seem to be constantly on to Alex about something. She may have a point. That’s it did me until next season. The South African one looked too dull after Australia!

Watched the first SA MKR, not sure about it. Only 5 couples? Strange.

Liz and Leanne are really strange, dressing the same.

Just watched the titles, and I think there are 10 couples, so 5 this round and 5 the next. Should be a bit better.
