^ I meant re the ending.

DifferentDayDifferentName · 28/05/2018 22:37

I thought it was just right. Loved the hedgehog and crashes.

UrsulaPandress · 28/05/2018 22:37

I thought it was brilliant.

I am easily pleased.

Shenanagins · 28/05/2018 22:38

I think it was just right. If it went to schmaltzy it wouldn’t feel right.

Snakie · 28/05/2018 22:38

Overall, it was the perfect finale to a fabulous series.
I’m just so bloody glad he did it and we weren’t left with the previous cliffhanger.
As a PP said love the signs and Forever fm, plus the songs.

Honeyroar · 28/05/2018 22:38

Some of it was brilliant- Take That in the video (and Peter Kay's knee slide!), the No Dogging Zone and some of the other signs, the end result. But some bits were a little bit slow. Overall we loved it though.

The80sweregreat · 28/05/2018 22:40

I would be peter Kay’s ‘car share buddy anyday! Even if he couldn’t pay 4.70 on a card. ( I have paid 50p on a card before now)

paisleyblue · 28/05/2018 22:46

I laughed so much when his car door got taken off! I thought it was brilliant, it's made feel happy 😃

Clawdy · 28/05/2018 22:48

I was very happy with the ending, but some of the earlier moments were just not very funny, as if he was trying too hard.

HaroldsSocalledBluetits · 28/05/2018 22:48

I'm still chuckling about the car door. I thought it was lovely - just the right note at the end. I laughed at Wrecking Ball as well.

Hepzibar · 28/05/2018 22:54

I thought it was disappointing.

Maybe I need to watch it again

chewybacca · 28/05/2018 22:54

The first half had me in stitches.
I thought the second half was a let down.
No great music.
They could have done it better.

And if Gary Barlow didn't write the song...

UrsulaPandress · 28/05/2018 22:55

Course he did

Encyclo · 28/05/2018 22:56

I loved it! Maybe a Christmas special going and coming from the Wedding?

blueskypink · 28/05/2018 23:01

some bits were a little bit slow

I think for it to be otherwise would be out of keeping with the rest of the 2 series. The whole point is that they amuse themselves with mindless banter and music during the boring car journeys that they do day in day out. So I think the last episode was true to the whole concept - not much happening for a lot of the time; lots of fairly meaningless chat, a few funny comments, some very funny visual jokes for the keen-eyed and some very very funny flights of imagination.

Great to go out with the double car accident and then the two of them cosying up on the bus. Smile

SwedishEdith · 28/05/2018 23:03

I don't think he's actually very nice though.

UrsulaPandress · 28/05/2018 23:04

Who?

thenightsky · 28/05/2018 23:05

Loved the advert in the bus shelter at the beginning.

My Big Fat Celebrity Bake Off.

SwedishEdith · 28/05/2018 23:06

Peter Kay's character. Far too grumpy.

Clawdy · 28/05/2018 23:06

Doesn't matter if he's nice or not, you either enjoy his comedy or you don't.

titchy · 28/05/2018 23:07

Anyone spot the 'Love Juice' advert at the beginning - supposed to be smoothie but never said that!

Justfivemoreminutesplease · 28/05/2018 23:11

Paul Coleman has just said on Twitter that Gary Barlow didn’t write the song.

UrsulaPandress · 28/05/2018 23:12

You think his character is too grumpy?

Ataloss2567 · 28/05/2018 23:12

Could anyone explain why her bil asked about the cell phone at the beginning? And why he was clearly checking her out? Didn’t get that bit!

blueskypink · 28/05/2018 23:15

Peter Kay's character. Far too grumpy

That's kind of what much of the storyline hinges on ....🙄
