Pissing tits to add to the vocabulary now.
(I thought his nickname was bobbo?)
But shalommmmmmm!

TiffanyDoggett · 05/05/2018 09:49

Dh is working all bloody weekend evenings and has banned me from watching without him!

Love Dad so so much. He reminds me of my Dad who is invariably boiling all year round Grin.

JustDanceAddict · 05/05/2018 10:17

‘How many shaloms..?’
Grin

Paleshelter · 05/05/2018 10:26

My husband got me to watch it a while ago, doubled over with laughing so much! All the characters are hilarious.

TheSecondOfHerName · 05/05/2018 14:42

Mark Heap does that type of awkward physical comedy so well.

Kneehighinshit · 05/05/2018 14:54

I have found my people. Just started series 2 and in love with it. Will read full thread when I've finished them all (in about 2 days!)

ToEarlyForDecorations · 05/05/2018 15:10

Last night's episode was bloody hilarious !

They farewell Jim only to find him sitting naked in the hot tub (hot toilet). Earlier, Jim couldn't believe his luck when he saw Jackie in her swimming costume !

Oh the dinner table awkwardness of them not particularly wanting to share the take away with Jim and Jackie the girlfriend and Jim STILL expected them all to wait whilst they had their conversation ! (Which Jim had written on a piece of paper but Jackie the mum had the social skills to already know !

Nippy nippy !!!!!

Paleshelter · 05/05/2018 15:47

Is it back on Channel 4?

TheSecondOfHerName · 05/05/2018 16:47

How to plan suitable topics of conversation for a first date:

  1. Do you live nearby?
  2. Have you recently had surgery on your bottom?
interuptus · 05/05/2018 21:07

Is the first episode suitable for an 11 yo?
My DH and I loved the previous series

Paleshelter · 05/05/2018 22:07

Currently watching it on catch up, didn't know there was a new series. DH in bed, he will be raging.

Paleshelter · 05/05/2018 22:10

Interuptus it's down as 18 rated. I wouldn't let my 10 year old watch it but that's just me.

serfandterf101 · 06/05/2018 13:01

My sons were watching it when they were 10 and 12, it went over their heads a bit but they found it hysterical. They are a lot like PissFace and PussFace together Grin The swearing did not make their language worse either! But I am quite a slack parent in some ways.

Bloody loved Wilson the beaver GrinGrinGrin

TheSecondOfHerName · 06/05/2018 14:33

An 18 certificate sounds a bit draconian. I'd let my youngest watch it (Y9, nearly 14). There's some bad language, but they hear worse in the playground.

JustDanceAddict · 06/05/2018 16:12

18?!?! It’s a bit risqué but no way should be rated 18. The more dodgy stuff will go over younger viewers’ heads anyway.
My 14 & 15 yr old have been watching for a couple of years.

bonfireheart · 06/05/2018 19:54

Love it, one of my fave programmes ever.
Dunno why they've changed the decor in the house though - found it distracting.
Nippy-nippy.

rainbowcakes · 06/05/2018 23:14

DH and I absolutely ADORE friday night dinner. Got my parents into it too! So excited when we heard season 5 was starting.

Decided to rewatch series 1-4 on Sky boxsets this week, even though i have them on dvd and watched them loads of times....it just never gets old. Mr morris is absolutely hilarious 😂

I cried with laughter at the episode where Martin spills oil all over the bedroom carpet Grin

Trenter · 06/05/2018 23:37

Loved it from the first series and have just watched the new episode with a 10 year old - who loved it. Of course they did, lots of it is very, very silly.. But we don't worry about them hearing swearing or sexual references.

MorningsEleven · 07/05/2018 16:49

DH was walking round the house in shorts but no T-shirt this morning. When I asked him why he just said "nippy nippy". Not a chance, pal.

dontticklethetoad · 07/05/2018 16:56

Mark Heap is just amazing, his interaction with Wilson cracks me up.
He was in Greenwing too.
If you ever see an interview with him, he's actually quite serious.

For some reason it makes me sad that Tamsin Greig has progressed to playing mum of 20 somethings. I love her Blush

MorningsEleven · 07/05/2018 17:01

Mark Heap is just amazing

I always think of him as Brian.

Tamsin Greig is doing brilliantly - 2 shows in prime Friday night slots.

picklemepopcorn · 07/05/2018 17:12

That is my household. My DH is in a world of his own and makes random rude comments (hairy arse) as he walks around the house, and caresses his tummy. No self awareness at all.
