I was really hoping she would escape and then it would be all about her fighting to get getting Hannah back.

The econo wife was very judgey wasn't she. Do the econo people not know what happens to the Handmaidens?

I'm not looking forward to finding out what happens next but desperately need to know. Whatever happens will surely get worse once the baby is born.

Of course. I understand about her being scared. I would definitely be a head down stay out of trouble kind of person in Gilead. I was just wondering about her saying

"how can you give your babies away?"

Do they think the Handmaids have a choice?

Finally realised not Nick didn't say driver for Commander Waterford but I didn't register that first, Festival. Then I thought there were 3 refugees in the plane when I realised he wasn't Nick.

If they convince themselves the handmaids had some kind of choice they can convince themselves that the same thing won't happen to them.

I presume that no one knew what really happened to Handmaids. People were probably conditioned to believe that Handmaids were willing to be impregnated.

Much better episode than than last week, I thought. Last week was a bit of a nothing episode. I find it strange that we get so little dialogue between Nick and June, you'd think they would talk more about possibilities. Though maybe if people are going to be picked up and tortured it's best to know as little as possible.

They are probably told a load of lies about what the handmaids do/think/feel.
