Me two mozz 😀

MozzchopsThirty · 18/02/2018 18:53

Oh how good is ep 1 💜💜💜

ER is why I went into nursing, and why I'd still love to nurse in the US

Redcrayons · 18/02/2018 19:17

Right, I'm going in.

Aridane · 18/02/2018 19:47

LG goodness -am so,embarrassed I used to fancy George Clooney as Dr Ross. He just seems so sleazy

Aridane · 18/02/2018 19:47

Scuse typos

Aridane · 18/02/2018 19:47

Oh goodness - they’re so young

Aridane · 18/02/2018 19:48

Nurse Hathaway is so radiant (comparing her with the handsome and imposing Alicia Florick)

dingdongdigeridoo · 18/02/2018 19:52

Her curly hair is so much cooler than that bloody awful wig she wore on The Good Wife. But I guess she had to look very conservative and middle class in that role.

Idbemonica1 · 18/02/2018 19:53

I'm saving my omnibus for tomorrow (day off) getting even more excited reading these comments Grin

FoofFighter · 18/02/2018 20:05

Waiting patiently for 20pm to watch the weeks last episode:)

You set the tone mark
😢😢😢😢

Aridane · 18/02/2018 20:26

Apparently she chose that wig for The Good Wife as she did not want her distinctive hair associating her role with Nurse Hathaway. Producers were happy with her hair au naturel

kalapattar · 18/02/2018 20:41

It's so much better than Casualty.

MozzchopsThirty · 18/02/2018 20:45

It's so much better than anything

Especially that greys shite that I sat through 6 seasons of waiting for it to get better 🙄

getoffMNandgotobed · 18/02/2018 20:48

I might have to dig out my box set and watch them all. Again 🤩

Aridane · 18/02/2018 20:56

kalap - comparing it with Casualty is like comparing cartoon Casualty with, I dunno, the Sistine Chapel or something

kalapattar · 18/02/2018 21:01
Grin

It's fascinating watching it again knowing the future of the characters.

FoofFighter · 18/02/2018 21:04

This was groundbreaking drama. I remember that much was made at the time of how different and edgy it was, the filming style, the live episode (episodes actually as they had to film as live for both eastern and western US zones!)

I do love Grey's too though.

Episodes 1-3 done. It's so fast paced, it's fab. i thought it would look old and dated, but it doesn't at all.
I'm trying to remember if George Clooney was famous before this?

FoofFighter · 18/02/2018 22:00

I remember him from Roseanne

I love the fact you don’t get any exposition about the characters. You are just dumped into their lives where they are and left to get on with it.

PetiteMarseillaise · 19/02/2018 15:27

I love ER too! Anyone remember the Wednesday evenings on TV, Friends followed by ER?

I can't watch Mark's death again, just hearing that song makes me well up. And poor Lucy, poor Carter. Your heart wrenches knowing what's to come for some of the characters.

For me, ER is definitely one of the best things ever made - the plots, the cast. No dumbing down schmaltz for the audience (looking at you, Grey's).

FoofFighter · 19/02/2018 17:05

I seem to recall it as being on Thursdays?

Still dumbfounded I can remember the patient characters like it was yesterday not 23 years ago! forgets own name
