Trauma - example of a bad trailer

Anyone feel that TV trailers give away too much? I understand it's a balance but having watched the trailer last night for ITV's new three part drama Trauma I feel like it basically gave away the whole plot bar whatever the denouement turns out to be. Has really put me off watching!

Well, I'm stuck watching it now.

AlexaAmbidextra · 14/02/2018 21:26

Currently watching part 3 and shouting at the TV. What a load of fucking bollocks. Angry

It just feels so .. amateurish.
And sooooo slow.

SavageBeauty73 · 14/02/2018 21:32

It's so shit!!!! No idea why I am seeing this through

SavageBeauty73 · 14/02/2018 21:33

They have charged the boy who murdered his son. Absolute shite

Whywonttheyletmeusemyusername · 14/02/2018 21:37

I know !!! This is absolutely diabolical, but I have an urge to see it through

3catsandcounting · 14/02/2018 21:43

There's only me and the dog left watching it.
And she's fallen asleep.

AlexaAmbidextra · 14/02/2018 21:46

I know it's TV but I do expect a stab at realism. Psychiatrist inviting patient into her house - wouldn't happen. No professional boundaries from either of them. He races home without thinking to call the police. Load of unmitigated tosh.

LIZS · 14/02/2018 21:48

A bit patchy. The daughter seemed thick when she let him in but much brighter when alone with her mother and JS. The frequent ad breaks seem to deflate any tension.

My most pressing question is which hospital are they filming in?!

SavageBeauty73 · 14/02/2018 21:54

Did the writers do any research?

littlbrowndog · 14/02/2018 21:55

Absolute pish the whole thing

tygr · 14/02/2018 21:58

Three hours of my life I won't get back.

Angry
dingit · 14/02/2018 21:59

🙄

HelenTitchener · 14/02/2018 22:01

Name-changed for this! I'm not trying to defend this programme, because it's utter crap, but I can think of at least two hospitals where it is certainly possible for relatives to get into the operating theatres without a swipe card. As far as I know a relative has never actually purposely tried to gain entry (or I suspect security would be tighter) but I've certainly found relatives wandering around. One department I can think of you don't need to be in scrubs to go into the department Shock

LindyHopSkipRunner · 14/02/2018 22:01

Jesus that was awful.

mamalovesmojitos · 14/02/2018 22:02

Terrible Hmm from start to end.

Whywonttheyletmeusemyusername · 14/02/2018 22:07

What the hell were they thinking?

SpottyGecko · 14/02/2018 22:08

I think I'm the only one who thought it was ok Blush

Not amazing, but it held my interest and the acting was good.

I'm tempted to rewatch it to try and pick up in the signs that the surgeon was lying. Blush

pinkginanyone · 14/02/2018 22:09

Utter crap.... I honestly think I’ll bin the tv.

imdunkelnistgutmunkeln · 14/02/2018 22:13

What a load of shit, and I love the two main actors Angry

With that ending, were we meant to feel happy for Johnson Simm's character, when he'd been an arsehole all the way through?

Polarbearflavour · 14/02/2018 22:13

Too lazy too watch the third episode now as only just watched the second. Can anyone sum up in a couple of sentences please?!

LindyHopSkipRunner · 14/02/2018 22:17

Erm ... drama subverts a load of hackneyed tropes and ends up with a haunting.
