If that was me i would still be stuck in traffic getting to Dover or get on the wrong ferry. My cab probably wouldnt even show up.
It is becoming a bit like a 1950's comedy caper type film.
Mel's hat was interesting. Didnt even blow off her head on that windy ferry deck, she must have had a hat pin in it.

She's a racist character, that much is evident. I said previously that I was uncomfortable with her "whites from colours" remark.
Fair enough if they want to bring a racist/xenophobic character in, but perhaps don't portray it in such a trivial way.

Over invested but thinking how Karen can make money from laundrette. If each machine dosnt work without cash, then surely it’s £4 for a wash or £6 for a service wash. Then she could just put £4 in machine and keep the rest and just take it out. Not like they can tell what she does for 10h every day.

Wonder who will start dragging stuff there who we haven’t seen. Apart from old Mr Price looking for laundrette the rest of square seemed to have coped ok.

So, why has Bianca tried to kill herself and why didn't Tiff go to Aunty Sonia (who's a nurse, did you know), and Uncle Robbie across the square for help? Why hasn't Martin asked Sonia to come and take Tiff? Is Bianca still with Terry? If they don't know where she is why haven't they been in touch with family to say she's missing? Surely if Sonia knew she was at Martin's, which she must do, she would have marched over there and got involved straight away? Sonia normally can't resist sticking her oar in.

Rubbish.

I do not like the turn Karen’s character is taking. I don’t find her funny at all. I had the misfortune of working with someone like her - she could turn on tears and everyone felt sorry for her because of her upbringing and she could switch suddenly to being very nasty all under the guise of being ‘funny’. She was awful to work with and management didn’t seem to realise how awful she was as she could change personality depending on who she was talking to.

After the garage was broken into, you’d imagine Ben might have torn a little hole in the black plastic just to make sure all the money was there. Instead he has gone off with 10K to his name, leaving behind a garage that must be worth twenty times that?!?!?!

Whitney is like an adopted (not officially) daughter of Bianca's. I don't know exactly but I think Bianca took her in after dating her dad or something.

Why would Sonia get involved? She's only the aunt and Whitney is her sister in her eyes.

Whitney was the daughter of the man who everyone thought/believed to be Tiff's biological father, who - when he died (I think when Tiff was a baby/Bianca was pregnant with her) - stayed with her stepmother. Didn't her "real" mother do a runner, or something, when she was quite young? Which, if I'm remembering rightly, would mean that Whitney thinks/has always thought of Bianca as her actual mum. I don't think Bianca ever had anything to do with raising Ryan, though...?

I remember the scenes when they found out that Tiff was actually Ricky's daughter/Liam's full sister, and that she and Whitney aren't biologically related in any way at all - there was lots of crying and declarations of "you'll always be my sister...!" from Whitney to a then very young Tiff. So yes; it is more probable that, if Tiff's in trouble, she'd turn to her big sister instead of her Aunty (whom she's probably not spent a lot of time around, all things being considered... I actually had to be reminded last night that Tiff and Bex are cousins and Martin was - maybe still is - her uncle whilst she was growing up!).

As for the missing money... I reckon someone's going to find it in Abi's room and Voila!, Max suddenly has enough to cover the legal costs of that medical negligence solicitor!

I can believe Karen has a racist side but the comedic tone is totally wrong. I remember a few years ago when Jay was being racist to Patrick and that was done so much better.

I cringed at the Mas/ Karen conversations about race etc. Keegan is mixed race - I thought she would be much more tolerant.
It’s not been done very well at all, but not surprised. I thought the new producer might improve things not make it worse! I hope Jay has the money but the way it’s going mick probably has it or Vincent.

I think the scenes between Mas and Karen were honest actually, and both gave as good as they got. Karen comes across as someone who is parroting stuff from the Daily Mail without actually really believing it deep down. She comes round too quickly to be genuinely racist. She clearly has prejudices but they seem easy to break down.

I think Karen is one of those uneducated people who thinks that because they have a mixed race child/black friends/black partner etc then that justifies their own racist behaviour. It's just the way they're doing it here for amusement that feels off.

first of all janes call,ians has been going mad trying to get hold of her yet she calls and he ignores for an ex ex Hmm

i didnt understand the bundles of cash in suitcase then exchanged for wrapped in black plastic
