Well Silent Witness hospital should have known not to employ Mas, he can’t even run an ice cream van, I can’t imagine they checked his reference very carefully

I imagine it was Dot who was responsible for the ruined jumper. Her eyesight probably meant she couldn’t see the new machine settings.

Good call about putting Mas in the kitchen preparing pub food.

I'm so over-loaded with plot-lines that I think I've mentally switched off and am now obsessing with trivia. What are the opening hours of launderettes? Surely there'd be more customers in the evenings than during the day? And they'd need more than one employee? Or are they mainly for service washes these days?

If Halfway becomes an item with Whitney, we can call them Halfwit- i know we've calling him that anyway ( and shirley has) but it will be official then! She seems to like men with nicknames, Woody was another one - Lee didnt have a nickname, well nothing printable anyway. Moose was after her once, she seems to have a type ( and not much luck with men either)

Mas paying rent to live in his own house is so bizarre it makes my head hurt trying to make sense of what the writers are aiming for, let alone all the other nonsensical stories. It feels like watching EE now is too much effort.

Why are Auntie and Uncle even living with Masood? where are they from originally? where has Daisy gone now?
where was Mas hoping to sell ice - creams in the middle of winter?
why is he so skint when he was getting rent from Carmel for the house whilst travelling around? paying the rent thing is beyond stupid as well.
why has lied about new job when they all live so close to the pub?
is he really that stupid?

The Mas story is so bad it's making me angry.

Family take over house & don't pay rent - wouldn't happen

That house is what, 3 bedrooms? Maybe 4, in East London on top of a tube station on a square with a local pub & market. Something 3 bed in East London, not nearly as nice as the Mas house here [http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-to-rent/property-69382523.html] to rent for £2600 a month. Mas needs to chuck out the family & sell the house!

i used to really like Masood. Now he is just annoying me and I've realised he can't act. He turned up in silent witness as the same bumbling persona as in EE. His facial expressions were identical - sort of confused!
The rent thing is ridiculous. I assume you can't just move areas and be fostering. Where is she anyway. He is sitting on a 3/4 bedroom house in east london which seems to not even have a mortgage because if it did how is he paying it. Worth about £1,000,000.
God give me strength.

Now Martin is paying rent on a house which has previously fitted about 6+. It is just him and Whitney and now Tiff. No one except Martin is earning money.
Why can't they deal with this stuff realistically.
In stead of being interested in the story lines I'm now just picking at all this stuff.

I haven't seen Mas in Silent Witness. I saw him in a serious drama film a couple of years ago, I thought he was ok in that, but it was just a small part. He does seem to be taken advantage of at the moment. The house prices are ludicrous!

Masood was in a gritty film i watched once - played an eastend baddie type. He wasnt bad in that.
He should sell up. Auntie and uncle cant be that hard up themselves?

I thought the aunt and uncle were paying rent - I’m sure it was mentioned at some point. It does make sense for Mas to have to pay them rent though - effectively it is a reduction in rent as they rented 4 bedroom house (ish. Plus Narnia annex) and he is now using one of them.

Anyway, Mas has to try and pay his relatives on the pittance he will earn in the pub - as Akire pointed out, he should offer to do a 'curry night' 2 for 1 or something and turn his skills to something else! He just looks all wrong behind the bar, but cooking and being a chef could work as he has experience with the restaurant and his curry stall.
or he could try the stall again? much more productive than ice cream on a market place.

I've re-read that three times and still don't get it.

Auntie and Uncle definitely said they want him to pay rent. The only thing I can think of is that he's given them the house that's worth at least 900K (as you do) so they can bring in Daisy and potentially another foster child? But even then charging your nephew rent seems weird.

i think Auntie was only brought in the show to patch up Mick after his accidental shooting!
I suppose they could have used Sonia instead or Bex and her magic plasters, but no, they had to have someone who was calm and able to cope with it all and not say anything.
I do like them both, much more interesting than the spams, but not sure what else they will bring to the show? Maybe they will foster some other children?

I thought that Mr spam and Patrick both had jobs in the Vic as 'pop men' ? those jobs have disappeared.

I still don't see the point of Mel being back as there's so few people around from then to connect her. Kathy didn't seem that surprised to see her.

Actually, I can't remember that much about Mel when she left. I seem to remember her seeing Steve being killed and spewing up in the street and it becoming apparent she was pregnant. Didn't she team up with Lisa off screen and abroad?

Can't remember who she slept with either. Probably most people. Anyone want to fill me in? Probably doesn't really matter anyway.

Mel married and divorced ian.
Slept with Phil. Married Martin Kemp ( steve owen) he died. She was pregnant with his child. Went to portugal with phils money.
Its hazy, but she was a big character. Steve owen accidentally killed his stalker ex, Saskia. He was a gangster and run a club. They all run a club in EE! Lol
