Silent Witness ......is it me?

2 hours of silent witness. Followed about 50% of it. Pivotal discussions between lead cast members unintelligible. Couldn't follow it by the end. Is it me?

I've preferred this series to the last one because it's not just Nikki having an affair with a suspect each week. Wish they'd kept Green Wing surgeon guy though, he's lovely. Nikki's just annoying and agree the blouses are very 1980s lady Di.
I don't think the scriptwriters really understand what pathologists do. It would be much less confusing if they stuck to one case at a time. They over-complicate the plots and forget most people watch TV whilst also doing something else.

It always stuns me how much money the police forces they deal with must have to spare, given that they are a private lab and presumably invoice for all the time their staff spend on cases. It regularly seems to happen that any given case requires the full time attention of their four main staff members for days at a time, which must cost an absolute fortune. And, judging by Nikki's luxury accommodation, they clearly don't undercharge. I thought police budgets were supposed to be stretched.

Jack doesn't ever do PMs though, does he? He and Clarissa are purely on the forensics side which is possibly where there is overlap with the police? I think that wasn't the case in the Leo/Harry era. That's where they seem to have strayed more into police territory don't you think?

Loved the dress Nicky wore to the reception!

And surely ABC would have had a security detail 24/7. When they arrived at his residence it looked as if there were 'security guards' lurking in the grounds. And he would have had panic buttons everywhere? And would Nicky really have locked the door going to the loo in the early morning (I wouldn't!), with no-one around?

Its drives me insane how they keep interfering in the Police work! Nikki you are a fecking pathologist you do not work for the police just accept it!! Why is she running around chasing criminals - aaargh!

The show completely lost it really when Leo left, and actually its never been as good as when Amanda Burton was in it.
