It's that Homeland time of year again

It feels so long ago that poor Weaselly Quinn met his maker that I had to Wiki what happened last season. We were left with an easily-led Madame President, an assassination plot, Saul in prison, Quinn dead in a Jeep and Carrie's distraught face working on overtime.

But it's back! Feb 11th US which I reckon means Feb 18th UK (although last year Channel 4 didn't tell us till about a minute before kick-off, despite my pathetic emailing). . Yay!

"How did Franny manage to run out of school and into the car park? My children's school has a high-up button that you have to press to open the door, and given that US schools are always on the alert for mass shooters I'm sure they'd have even more security."

I think she was still alongside the member of staff who brought her from the classroom and turned back sharply. But if that bit wasn't real, then it doesn't really matter. But does illustrate the Carrie's mental state is such that even when she can 'see' physical harm to her DD she still goes off to save the world (she's been trying to reconcile, perhaps, the emotional harm which cannot be seen?)

He was, I think, working on the assumption that he was not going to come out if that visit alive, whatever he said/did, so at least telling Carrie might lead to the end of the rogue Russian?

I was thinking it was nice to see Carrie looking relatively calm and sane, and then she shows that she's still completely barking mad.

What this show needs is the odd woman once in a while making good, sensible choices. Carrie and Madame President are as mad as each other.

President is seriously unlikeable. She was so smug during that phonecall to Saul.

Who was that iffy nurse prepared to rifle through Maggie's office for a file? Is he part of the Scooby Gang?

The tall guy that got Carrie the file? That’s Ansen. He’s in the gang. He lives in the caravan.

It's almost like the writers have realised that Frannie is a constant distraction from the proper plotline and have worked out how to park her safely out of the way.

Why did I think he was a nurse? I'm losing my marbles.

He accompanied her into the shock therapy session so it did look like he was a nurse.

And yes, frannie safely bundled away at Maggie so we can get on with homeland now. I’m glad TBH. I can’t be bothered with all that stuff. Get on with the real business please!!

I missed the start before the titles, so Dante really was killed by the Russian? Carrie did have a breakdown?
PS I just love Saul!! Was thinking about his wife, can't remember her name, she went off with someone else didn't she??
