New year, new thread! Looking forward to tonight's episode ...

I seem to be the only person who is not a great fan of the Jac character... been around too long doing the same thing. But I thought I'm a Celebrity was for washed up celebs who are trying to get attention/kick start their career again?? She certainly doesn't need to do that. I can't imagine why she would consider doing that show. Didn't she admit to having a breakdown recently? I believe she has other health issues as well so jungle would not be a good place for her to be in.

More a fancied the challenge thing I think

Yeah she said in an interview that she fancied doing it.
I am also over the ‘Jac’ act but see how it works for entertainment.

I think what keeps Jac going is the glimpses of her softer side.
Her relationship with Italian guy. The stuff with fletch. Her vulnerability over Emma. Her and Sacha.

It means she's an utter bitch but one that you can still relate to

I am just catching up with last Tuesday's episode and had to pause it to come here and try to discover answers to the Nicky question!

What have I missed? I'm quite bright usually, but where has Nicky gone and why does Whatshisname have keys to her flat/room, and why is he handing them over to Donna and why doesn't Nicky need her room??

I'm SO confused!

Yeah presumably they need to explain this. I think he killed her and chopped her up, he's secretly desperate to be found out so is setting Donna up to discover her teeth left on the bedside table

Hi. Newbie to this thread but been watching Holby for years and just watched Tuesday's episode which I agree was a bit confusing. IMO the show has lost it's way recently. A year ago I couldn't wait to watch the episodes (I.e kids would be in bed, glass of wine would be ready and phone off), now I find myself just catching up with it as and when.

I am sooooo totally bored with the whole Gaskell thing. Bored of the storyline, bored of the character, boring boring boring....

I loved the chemistry between Naylor and Fletch but it's all seemed to have gone quiet.

Tbh most of the newer current cast are a bit meh.

My fave characters (at the moment) are Naylor, Hanson, Fletch and Dominic.

Think the show is missing some of those old characters like Mo and her sister and Guy Self and hopefully they will bring back pachenko. There was always a little bit of humour amongst the more serious storyline's which seems to be missing lately.

Not sure how much fun there will be on Tuesday with the Sascha mental health storyline.

Mo is coming back in a few weeks apparently.

I have a feeling there's going to be a surprise ending where someone else goes, not Sasha.

Maybe just me but I really dislike this format.

Now is this my bad memory at play or is this the first time we have seen this Connor character who is actually incredibly important to Sachas mental wellbeing?

I don't remember Connor, MyOtherProfile but half my posts on this thread seem to be asking others to clarify something I've missed!

I don’t think we’ve ever met Connor before - they’ve woven him into all the other storylines to act as a common thread tying them all together.

Glad it's not just me who didn't recognise the very significant Connor.

So, I predict that in true Holby style Sasha will take a couple of weeks off, come back right as rain and operate on Connor's mate and no more will be said on the subject of his mental health. Because a hand hold from Rick and a nice comment from Connor's mate sorts it all out.

Well, that’s what I was thinking! The guy was on the roof, threatening to jump, has a history of depression, and yet after a hand hold and a chat in the garden, he’s just sent home, by himself? Is that really what happens?

It does in Holby-ville! It makes a mockery of even pretending to touch on mental health issues. I'm sure lots of blokes with a history of depression who might have watched thinking they would be able to relate are now just able to get over it all thanks to Sasha.

I remember Connor from before, he has been in a couple of times with his ongoing crohns problems.

I'm afraid all the hype over this episode didn't match reality, I was left feeling underwhelmed with the whole storyline. Would Ric really have spoken to Sacha the way he did?

FFS will someone lock that damn door out on to the roof!!

So, who is the major character that is going to die if its not Jac or Sacha? Maybe that suggestion of Fletch being killed by his Dad?? although that would be ridiculous to have his kids lose both parents in tragic circumstances....oh wait that is exactly the sort of unrealistic crap Holby script writers come up with all the time.

Really @PretendLife? I can’t believe I missed a character with Crohns as it is rife in our family and I’d have been picking holes in the storylines. Maybe it was so ridiculous that I’ve blanked it out

Ooooo I know who is going to die but I can't say anything!

I used to love Holby but went off it a bit a few years ago.. having to watch at the moment though as the story line re the Crohn's and bowel transplant has been quite close to real life for me!

Oh I hope it's not HH, or Fletcher, or Jac, or Sasha.

Surely they can't kill off another main character?!

I really can't say anything, though I didn't sign any privacy agreements, the person who I work for advised on the script and did, so I don't want to risk their neck!
