Fletch found her collapsed on the floor of her office. Now she appears to be in iTunes, full of tubes and drips. Is she the latest victim of the trial? Can she be saved? Cue theme tune.

Not iTunes, obviously!

As I knew what was coming from the spoiler thread, when they were arguing I was hoping it would turn into one of those heat of the moment DTD on Jac's desk moments

I'm trying very hard not to catastrophise here - scenarios for Jac coming back from iTunes the brink?

Maybe it's not the implant that has floored her after all, she just had some dodgy chicken wings at Albie's....

Or, Gas-kill is freaked out enough to do a disappearing act, so Roxanna steps in to save the day by removing the implant (hitherto thought irreversible, but don't let that hold them back) and the trial is FINALLY shut down

I think they will spin this Jac story out for a while for Fletch to fall apart and then she will finally die or maybe they will throw in a curve ball and she won't be able to work again and someone else will die as a sneaky side story.

All the soaps seem to be going for more and more shocking story lines and Holby is trying to do the same. Holby is the poor relation of soaps as it rarely gets nominated for awards. Jac dying would be the biggest story ever.

On a lighter note, I can't stand the way all these family members can just wander round as they like, Fletch's Dad just sitting in his office on his own...surely this wouldn't be allowed in a real hospital? Bloody Essie on the ward all day getting involved when she is off sick?

Essie isn't just off sick, though, Pretend - she actually resigned after Gaskell let her feel she was responsible for the failure of his trial, didn't she?

Essie wandering around was really annoying me too.
Did anyone see Rosie Marcel being interviewed by Lorraine? She touches on the Jac-Fletch thing.

Lofty reminds me of my brother-in-law.

I couldn't remember if Essie had actually resigned or gone off for a long break....if she did resign it is even worse she is hanging around the ward all day and will no doubt conveniently get her job back when it suits her.

Don't worry about Jac shagging Fletch, she is currently slobbering over him on the Bill on W!

Jac's not going to die. She's immortal. I forbid it. I'll go on strike & not watch Holby again until they resurrect her.

Yeah after several months of the numbers dwindling, letters of complaint and us lot chained naked to the BBC, they'll film Fletch naked in bed. He'll roll over, and there will be Jac in bed with him and he'll tell her he just had the weirdest dream and he doesn't think she should go ahead with the trial. She'll declare her back already feels better after that sex so they'll have to stay together

What an excellent script proposal, Sleeping ! If I was DG of the BBC you'd be promoted to chief scriptwriter without delay.

We already saw Fletch wake up in bed, with Abi. Then he wore the same clothes he had on the day before with her earring hanging on him and went straight into work, without bothering to check on his kids.....

Where is Abi now?

I have to say I can't blame eldest for thinking Grandad around might relieve her burden of motherhood. It's the one huge flaw in the loveliness of Fletch

On the one hand he is saying 'what happened to my little girl' but then he is happy to leave a little girl responsible for 3 other kids. I was quite shocked when Evie mentioned he dumped them for Tess, had forgotten about that little indiscretion of his. That affair led to the death of the kids mother really as she went into a downhill spiral when they split up and ended up taking drugs.

GasKill is a really creepy soulless muppet......

Essie back in scrubs, that's quite some HR dept.

The last scene with Jac and Fletch made me smile - here's hoping for more good news there.

Wow.... I said to DH halfway through that if Jac died then this would be the last episode of Holby we'd be watching...

Essie has had major abdominal surgery only a few weeks ago and seems completely back to normal & back to work...
