I struggled with this. Older brother, yes, but father - he just isn't old enough. He doesn't look old enough. I'm sure they cojld have found a more elderly- lookng 55yo, if trh tried.

There must be loads of older actors who would be better for the part. I often notice how the same actors keep appearing in most of the stuff on TV, there must be thousands of good ones out there that never get a chance. The soaps just keep passing the same actors around. I saw Sacha in old episodes of The Bill the other day.
