I'm with you on the prem baby. Ds3 was 32 weeks and neither I or his dad got to hold him. The wonderful staff did show him to me though before taking him away.

It didn't even occur to me that Donna, Ben and jay were all having such a fun night whilst their friend/flat mate/ex girlfriend was dying and having an emergency c section. Ffs.

It’s like filmed all these bits before falling off roof and had two possible outcomes.

Did Carmel lose her job? Not sure what she can do apart from work on a stall or in cafe. Masons and son struggled paid rent when 2-3 full time wages coming in yet he’s be back and no job? And 4 bed house to self? Maybe he come back with an new wife and family??

Luke will come his dad will died all great plot been taken down and then what? That’s if he’s back at all and not in crushed car somewhere

I don't think the Abi friends thing is entirely unrealistic. They maybe allowed to visit during visiting hours but it's not usual for everyone (friends etc) to be permanently by the bedside of someone on life support.
I doubt they thought it interesting to show 7/8 people weeping by bedside.

But would thought least have the chat at home before pub and then force themselves to have a good time because it’s “what she would have wanted”. The dart thing and ketchup after friend had skull smashed in??? Not so much.

Regarding Martin not trying to find Stacey, she left him a letter didn't she? It's probably safe to assume she told him she was going to her mum's or something.

The other plot holes however (Abi's friends not seeming to care about her, the absence of Tanya at the hospital etc) are ridiculous.

The more I think about the lack of Tanya the more stupid it is that she’s not there. The script writers know how the story goes, it’s not like Abi being brain dead came as a shock to them so why didn’t they save the stuff with Tanya for the hospital? It’s not like they were sitting at home watching & suddenly realised oh shit Abi’s going to die!

I think Cora is fab but a poor substitute for Tanya, it would almost be better if they hadn’t have brought her back (but she is fab)

I have got to go for Shirley as I think her acting is amazing and her comedy timing, genius but I have to admit to Kush & Martin being quite pleasing on the eye

I do like Denise and Kush as a couple (definite chemistry) and also like Kim and think there is huge potential there not being used.

I miss Tamwar and Nancy. Tamwar was a very dry character and for a young actor his comic timing was brilliant as were his facial expressions.

I think they are underusing Jay and Ben as they also have had some very funny lines in the past.

I like Shirley and Jay - he rarely has any good stories, the last one was ages ago. Shirley just makes me smile and has some good one liners.

Carmel did get her old job back at the council - she was cleared of any wrong doing over the computer which Max used for information for weyland. why she cant afford to rent somewhere else now is a mystery as Masood;s place cant have been cheap to rent and she managed to pay that and the bills ok. moving in with Kush and Denise isn't great for her or Shakil.
It was nice to see Cora back. i wonder who will care for Abi's baby?

I think she said their new place wasn't ready yet. I don't think it's meant to be permanent.

Yeah Kush said wasn't she meant to move out new year and she said Masood wanted it back earlier and new place wasn't ready. They'd booked a B and B but apparently a dive so Kush suggested they stay with him.

Christmas Day was a great episode, but the writers have struggled badly this week. It’s been full of massive plot holes, agreed.

Mainly, I just want to know where Louis, Janet, William, Pearl, Olly, Denny and Karen’s younger two sons are? Maybe they’re all round Jack’s house, seeing as he is the only one in the Square who has any childcare above and beyond asking Dot or Whitney to mind their kids while they go to the pub (again)?.

Karen’s youngest are at their dads a lot which at least is explained. No one else mentions babysitting agency or anything. Imagine jack wouldn’t have wanted a party on anniversary of deaths so ok maybe honey kids were there.

Olly never seeems any trouble he’s what nearly 2? Yet no stair gates or any upstairs. So he be free come down and go play in cellar or under bar any time he wants.

Imagine Kim would have to use a top notch baby sister Agency so could brag about it.

Wish use some characters more or get rid. Tina is good actress but apart from car hitting Janet, nothing. Just letting her work in cafe and live in pub is boring.
