It's clever that Stacy has been betrayed in the last few years as the character who has her difficulties but has benefited from treatment, grown up, is quite wise and seemingly grounded, someone we root for. More interesting for her to cheat than an obvious badun.

Also, she's been wearing white all the time since Christmas Eve. And she was going to be the angel. But was a fallen angel shagging Max on the living room floor. And the angel role was taken by Karen who has a lot in common with Stacy. Lots of kids with different dads etc. But portrayed very differently.

Yes it would be unrealistic if Josh hadn't been told by now. Lauren's conscious, she'd have asked.
