At this stage I never want any of them to go. Except Louise Redknapp.

I felt really sorry for Mollie 'seeing it all crumble before her'

I was sorry that Joe had a wobble because I really like him.

I thought the other three danced really well and it was all lovely.

I can't wait to see the pro dancers lindy hop tomorrow. Oti looked so beautiful in the background tonight.

hazeyjane · 09/12/2017 22:07

Alex's salsa was fahooking amazing

capercaillie · 09/12/2017 22:12

We voted Alexandra, Gemma and Debbie.
Hadn’t voted for Alexandra before but tonight was great. Gemma is probably my favourite.

EvilRingahBitch · 09/12/2017 22:19

I thought Oti’s wig in the background was a shocker actually.

Longtime · 09/12/2017 22:22

Horsemad, mine too and I’m usually not a fan of the rumba.

saladdays66 · 09/12/2017 22:49

Yeah, I thought oti's wig was horrible and she was too booby in her dress.

Alexandra intensely annoying tonight. All fake amazement that judges think she's good.

Debbie's jive was meh - shame, as I have voted every week for her.

Tess supremely annoying and patronising - dd said so after she asked Millie if she was crying. Arghhjh.

Also, it's not a beauty contest. Wish the judges wouldn't go on about how lovely/beautiful/pretty the female celebs are. Inappropriate,

Ceto · 09/12/2017 23:01

Someone needs to break it to Debbie that Pamela Stephenson was older than she is when she got into the finals.

TheNumberfaker · 10/12/2017 03:11

Anyone seen this?

MrsJamin · 10/12/2017 06:21

Interesting video! I'd never thought about this before but it isn't fair and means when there are ties, the audience vote has more power as there is a smaller difference between the top and bottom couple in the judges' vote.

maddiemookins16mum · 10/12/2017 07:33

And Pamela had no dance experience either! But I do hope Debbie is in the final though.

TheHolidayArmadillo · 10/12/2017 07:40

That video is very interesting. I think Alexandra would have to get a lot of the public vote to be safe.

Inkanta · 10/12/2017 08:32

I thought Alexandra was clearly the best dancer last night. If only she knew that her 'what me?' responses to praise do not endear her to the public. I got a heart sink when she it last night. Still, she was the best.

Cherrypi · 10/12/2017 08:46

Love standupmaths. The voting data would be fascinating.

disappearingninepatch · 10/12/2017 08:49

If only she knew that her 'what me?' responses to praise do not endear her to the public.

You'd think a friend would take her aside and tell her.

SoupDragon · 10/12/2017 09:07

All fake amazement that judges think she's good.

I don't see that. I've always seen delight at the comments.

Odd isn't it!

Lurked for a long time - Ok if I join you?

I’ve no real favourites, but I think at this stage I’d like Joe to win. I think Katya’s choreography has been amazing both last year and this and he’s turned into a great dancer. Both he and Katya must have cores of steel to have pulled off that final move in the AT.

Does anyone else have suspicions about Debbie’s real age? I’d have put her in her sixties at least and I kinda get the feeling that she may have knocked a few years off her real age back when she was starting out on British telly (as so many women did). I always think when she says “I’m 59!” She’s thinking “I’m actually 65/67! If only you all realised that I’m good for my age and bloody fantastic for my real age!” Smile

I’m a sucker for romance so I’ve always been intrigued by the relationships that started on the show. The last few weeks I think AJ has looked at Mollie so intensely - he looks absolutely crazy about her. I’m not sure if she’s reticent because she doesn’t want the public glare, or because she doesn’t reciprocate his feelings. But I wouldn’t be shocked if there’s a kiss at the end of their time on the show.

I know Alexandra is brilliant, and I have voted for her a few times over the weeks, but I don’t particularly fancy an X Factor winner winning Strictly.

EvilRingahBitch · 10/12/2017 09:45

People have suggested before on that thread that Debbie might be older than she admits, but actually everything checks out, including her birth certificate.

FuzzyCustard · 10/12/2017 10:09

Hello reading (or are you Reading, as in Berkshire? That may also be fundamental)

Debbie is NOT 59???? What are you suggesting? Heavens to betsy. If that is not true then the world is quite possibly flat. (And David Attenborough will fall off the edge later this evening. And that's not The Edge as is Bonio's mate, because that would be plain rude)

TheSassyAssassin · 10/12/2017 10:11

Fuzzy do I need to stage an intervention to rescue little FK? Not sure you're capable today? Xmas Grin[santa]

Caught up with the thread but need to watch the remaining dances. Sounds like most think Mollie to go though!

FuzzyCustard · 10/12/2017 10:16

No no sassy LittleFK and CP (CutePuffin) and I are having a lovely game of charades. With cake.

FuzzyCustard · 10/12/2017 10:16

LFK and CP both think it's Mollie to go.

ilovesooty · 10/12/2017 10:23

If anyone here is also a member of the TES site please don't look at the Strictly thread on there. Someone has posted a spoiler on it.

TheSassyAssassin · 10/12/2017 10:28

Charades and cake you say? Might be tempted to get up out of my cosy Sunday morning lie-in for that! Xmas Grin

EvilRingahBitch · 10/12/2017 10:33

Unimpressed by that standupmaths video. Prepared to give them a pass on Davood’s name I guess because it “looks” like it should be obvious and not the kind of name you need to check.

But
a) they don’t consider the context of why it works that way and hence the constraints that need to be applied to any proposed system
b) they don’t expand the proposed half point solution to the situation of a 3 way tie (or more) which would have been funny
c) most damningly, they claim that the tie situation prioritises the judges when it actually favours the public, as is clear from their example with and without the tie scoring system.

I had a quick look at the comments on YouTube (which is normally a foolhardy thing to do) and about half of them are complaining about issue c).

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 10/12/2017 10:47

You can tell she doesn't watch Strictly, or she'd know that they they changed it from her "fairer" voting system when it meant it was impossible to save somebody (Tom Chambers) from the dance off...
