I felt sorry for Gethin too. Then I looked at DD and wondered how I’d feel if a teacher kissed her back when she is a teenager. I’d expect any teacher to push her away and inform me ASAP. Bex is not quite telling the truth about how she is pursuing him though. I wonder will Louise say something. I presume not as Bex was a very good friend to her but Louise’s character is completely inconsistent so might.

I do feel sorry for Gethin because after that first mistake he has kept telling her nothing is going to happen. He's still the one in the wrong for kissing back though, obviously. There doesn't seem to have been any hint of grooming or encouragement on his part but he should have kept away from her and Sonia completely.

Loved the scenes with Donna, Robbie and Kim in the market discussing Robbie's dating profile. "I have 50 subordinates". Need more scenes like this to lift the gloom.

What on earth was Linda wearing when she went round to Carmel's? Some strange satin pantaloon thingy. Her dress sense is getting weirder by the episode.

I feel sorry for Gethin, too. But I find it v difficult to see him and Sonia as a couple with 'a connection'. Sonia looks much too old (and matronly) for him.

Yes - he was in the wrong with Bex, but it does put an alternative view. Sting's 'Don't stand too close to me...' She was blatantly pursuing him and wouldn't take No for an answer. He should never have got involved with Sonia, tho'.

There isnt much chemistry with Gethin and Supersonia when they were together! She seems a bit too old and , as thyme said above, matronly. He is a young ambitious teacher , he would be going out with somebody much more dynamic in real life. i do feel a bit sorry for him - his instant friend ship with Jack was odd too and Bex has pushed him a lot since the kiss, even though he has told her to back off. He admitted to her that he was wrong from the start. Still, maybe now his flat has become free Twitney and Woody can move in?

PS, i agree that Linda is looking more and more bizarre with the clothes - also, where is Olly while all this fund raising is going on? you never see him and they dont mention him much either/

agree that all their money woes have evaporated - seems odd as renting and bills in london are huge and Stacey and Martin have 3 mouths to feed. Kush may well be good with the maintenance, but just one market stall wage can't be a lot for the others.

Agreed. zero chemistry between Gathin and Superson. However, when she grabbed him by the throat and pinned him against the wall, I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't a close up of his feet dangling in mid air.

venella, yes, it would have been funny to see Gethin's feet dangling away as they tend to do in cartoons!
she reminded me of her mum when she found out that Dan Sullivan had been seeing her daughter, Bianca. Carol Branning was a force of nature when she was riled.
not sure what we are meant to think about Luke - the other week he was plotting with James and all cocky about managing to get Ben to go out / sleep with him - but now he looks genuinely upset by them finding out the truth and seems to actually really like him.. maybe its a double cross to pull Ben further away from his dad ' I cant help what Luke's dad did, you and I have done a lot of bad things as well ' type of attitude. Who knows?? ( i could never ever condone or forgive rape, but Ben has different views maybe??)

I think Luke is in the same position as Max getting close to Carmel and Fi getting close to Max. It's all part of the master plan, but WB expects Fi to dump Max and Luke to dump Ben when they're no longer needed. He didn't expect Fi to get attached to Max and Luke to Ben.

Revenge is just the cherry on the cake. It's not the main motive. They will make shedloads of cash if everything works to plan.

Could the arches be part of the redevelopment?

I’m not so sure Luke is genuine about Ben. Would he really calll Ben his little grease monkey? Would he have stayed away until the following morning after getting a number of distressed calls from Ben? Would he set Ben up to meet and presumably be manipulated by WB? I also think the Arches is part of the ‘grand plan’.

Just to add it is nice to be back guessing what might happen. I think things have changed in EE even if SOC’s name is still on the credits.

It’s already been mentioned in conversations between WB and Luke that WB is after the arches.

The business about the car lot plot still doesn’t stack up does it? Phil duped Jay into taking it (even getting Jays granddad involved) who then sold it to the WBs. It was like Phil was in on the grand plan somehow but now that doesn’t make sense at all

Ever since max met up with Hugo '' up the shard' ( after the bus crash) the whole thing has become complicated and a bit a of a mess really.
I wonder if we will ever find out the truth about Jay and his real dad - or why Phil lied to him? Has Luke real feelings for Ben, or just fake ones? will they ever get their hands on the Vic? When are these houses/ flats going to be built? Will Keanu be in it again and have a big story line over christmas? and will the safari supper raise 50k?? so many questions.

I must admit the Rickshaw challenge that the young adults and Matt Baker have done this week ( shown on the One Show) has been really awe inspiring. I am usually a bit of a cynic about all these fund raising type events, but that has been really good and the people involved have been lovely.
