I’ve ran out of interest in Rick. And Car-ol to some extent though he was slightly better in that episode.
Loved Rosita and the basooka

This is getting very laughable now, think this really should be the last series.

Im just rolling my eyes at many of the scenes and the dialogues are getting worse. Strong characters are becoming either predictable or caricatures of the parts they once played. All the firing and no-one being shot.......

And how long is Maggie going to be pregnant for? She has not even got the slightest bump after how long????

I was a huge TWD fan and have watched some series more than once, but both theses last 2 I can barely muster up much enthusuisum

Thegirlinthefireplace · 29/11/2017 07:05

Actually middle class you might be right. It's been two days this series but you're right more time probably passed between the end of the last series and the stat of this one 😳😳

Middleoftheroad · 29/11/2017 07:24

Todam - I agree.

I've watched every series several times and read the comics, but I feel like it's had its day - words I never thought I'd say.

For me, the peak will always be The Governor and although I've enjoyed the rest and loved characters like Aabraham, this current series is just making me yawn.

CaptainBrickbeard · 29/11/2017 07:30

I think it is actually supposed to be about two days. The timeline always blows my mind; I think the whole of season 7 covered two weeks - so in their universe, they hadn't even heard of Negan a month ago? Poor Jessie probably only got munched about six weeks previously! It's a bit bonkers.

CaptainBrickbeard · 29/11/2017 07:30

And Middle, I completely agree the Governor was the best!

Todamhottoday · 29/11/2017 07:31

Yes indeed Middle, the TV highlight of my week would be a chilled glass of something, nibbles, then sit down to TWD and really looked forward to it. My other half thought I was so obsessed with it and try and figure out what would happen next.

Now I looked forward to the bloody blue planet, and I hate fish!!

Soubriquet · 29/11/2017 07:39

I was resistant to watching this....got into it and binge watched all seasons and then eagerly awaited this season...so far it's been a bloody bore!

The only good bit was Rosita with the bazooka.

HidingBehindTheWallpaper · 29/11/2017 08:02

I’ve not watched the last two episodes. I just can’t be bothered.

How long has it been since the zombie apocalypse?

Todamhottoday · 29/11/2017 08:20

...about 20 years by my mind...

cushioncovers · 29/11/2017 08:53

I'm feeling the same way. Ended up flicking through my phone instead of watching it intently this week. Getting bored it's it now which I'm gutted about as I've been a massive fan from day one. It needs to get back to rick and the gang fighting walkers and trying to find a safe haven imo and maybe a broader glimpse into the rest of society and what's going on.

Thegirlinthefireplace · 29/11/2017 09:32

It's definitely jumped the shark but unfortunately I'm like Sheldon, when I start on a franchise I have to stick with it to the end, even if the quality declines 😳

Mustang27 · 29/11/2017 09:40

I think it's building separate story arcs to follow for coming seasons. It's always been the same and gets slow at points but iv never continued to watch it thinking that wasn't worth it. Remember the farm?? There were points when the governor season was boring too. I'm of the old school zombie film fan camp so I do yearn for more walker based stories but im pretty sure that would get bloody boring too. I loved the massive Walker herd in the quarry thing as a threat to Alexandria. I think it will get there again.

Oh and on the time line if you are a GoT fan then you will know it's not a patch on that for being totally unbelievable lol.

Thegirlinthefireplace · 29/11/2017 09:48

What I do find increasingly interesting as the Alexandrians become more and more comfortable with killing is the question about whether we would see them as the heroes or the goodies if we met them now.

was the Governor just Rick now. If we had first met Ricks group as a result of their execution of everyone at the saviour satellite station in a fight that was nothing to do with them at this point, would we see them as nothing more than ruthless mercenaries...?

Answers on a postcard

MiddleClassProblem · 29/11/2017 10:45

Ok looking a michonne’s beat up face it has to be weeks since the Alexandria attack surely

cushioncovers · 29/11/2017 11:53

I loved the farm season. Loved Shane's character. Yeah I will stick with it but feeling bit disappointed atm.

StormyLovesOdd · 29/11/2017 13:28

I agree, I think it has run out of steam a bit the last 2 seasons but no doubt I will still watch it to the bitter end.

On paper this season should be really exciting with everything going on but the character writing just doesn't seen as good or believeable and I don't care about Carol, Rick and the rest of the gang as much as I used to.

I blame Negan - he's just too likeable and no scary enough.

girlinthe fireplace I agree about finishing what I started-Hence why I carried on and wasted sooo much of my life with Pretty Little Liars lol.
I am still enjoying TWD but agreed not to the extent I once did.
I would say I enjoy FTWD more right now and am more excited about that coming back.
(and the cross over-but we are not allowed to talk about that on here hehe)

I do think they’ve run out of stories

AmZing how many walkers are about still tbh

Timeline. I go by how big JUDITH it. Tho she seems huge. Reminds me of gbp

No bump yet. Did they say she was in 3nd trimester last week. So 13w preg

I’m still not convinced she would have survived year one when they lost the prison and were on the move. They just can’t face killing a baby on TV despite the realism of it.

MiddleClassProblem · 29/11/2017 14:53

For those who haven’t read the comics, Lori and Judith die at the prison when The Governor lit attacks, Lori shot carrying Judith and falls on her, killing her so we don’t know what could happen to her now.

If the there is a time leap after the Negan stuff maybe it will be like a soap just with Zombies.
