Will there be a funeral for Stephen

What else is happening?

Think bigger. They want to knock down the whole square. With council involvement, they can use compulsory purchase to buy out home-owners. Land behind the square will be blocks of flats, with a percentage of 'affordable'/social housing to get the council on board. They'll either knock down the Vic or, more likely, restore and gentrify it for 'character'. Craft ales and a destination gastro menu.

It's been happening all over London. 5 mins from the Tube? Easy commute to Canary Wharf? It's an anachronism that it's not already been done.

But that is 'reality' Thyme and EE isn't set around a block of apartment residents. This isn't Friends! So what is the bloody point of this storyline.

wildrose, I am guessing that nothing will happen ,its all just a ruse to get WB and his cronies in on the story and have the whole Mitchell feud start up, probably ending up with people dead or a car chase or something 'big ' around christmas / new year. the carters will be out in the snow and have to find a new place to live maybe, but i cant see the Vic being changed that much. New landlady or landlord might be interesting - maybe Linda's mum will take over with Woody as bar manager? Or Vincent will finally get some more lines and take it over ?

No - it's not going to happen! The point of the storyline is the residents will fight back, David and Goliath. The Square will come together, just like during WW2. Kim and Dot are already rehearsing their speeches.

Carmel and Denise will act as moles and spill the beans, Fi and Luke will discover their inner humanity and change sides - it'll all be over in a fortnight and we will be back to love triangles and disputed paternity like normal.

WW2 on the square - who would be Captain Mannering and who would be ' they dont like it up em' Corporal Jones?

Not getting great take over plot either. If they do buy the pub car lot and chippy cafe... yes make place bit nicer. But only so much you can polish a turd! Surely the market would have to go and then few better business. But then it just look smarter and have more shops. Hardly life shattering difference to anyone.

This is My first MN comment/post ever, but I had a dream that I felt the desperate need to share with you all so in the dream it was a big dramatic Eastenders episode, there was another gas explosion (caused by the Willmott Browns) and Aunt Babe showed up in a huge purple bus disguised as an old German lady, the whole square fitted in somehow (dream logic I guess, or not if you consider the amount of rooms in some of the houses!!) and she drove them all to the Willmott mansion, meanwhile a helicopter is landing and JWB is ordering a team of suit-wearing assassin types to aim guns at the citizens of Albert Square as they get off of the bus and have to go into the house. Then Aunt Babe gets out, takes off her disguise and James Willmott Brown is like "thank you Babe, you have done all that was needed". Queue the doof doof. Then I woke up very confused thinking it had actually happened? Maybe I have psychic dream powers, or maybe I just spend too much time on this thread hahaha but watch this space if Aunt Babe returns sometime soon....

Thyme, Cora is Max's ex mil. She is Tanya's mum and lauren and abi's nan. She was spying a bit on maxafter she run into Dee at the foodbank. Looked promising that she would suss him out, then she disappeared and Dee became Pearl's nanny, so no longer skint or needing their help.

Sonia/Bex is a re run of Bianca/ Carol/ David Wicks, boring
