Good to see Mick and Linda have one of those therapists who come to your house! Just like when Mick tried to get a loan and the bank manager came to the Vic for some reason.

southeastdweller · 19/09/2017 22:15

I still can't understand why Linda hasn't told Mick about her cancer. What does she gain by not telling him? Confused

Akire · 19/09/2017 22:18

Agree about Mr Price surely it's illegally! Noones come out to say it. She's stu under 18. Though not sure if she has moved schools or
Not. It still given their relationship it's a no no no no!

Wonder at what point of us being honest and open means that L will spill about her cancer?

Good to see Ian finally doing his crying :) though Kathy went away a blond and come back with 4 inches of grey growth. Just on time to take over the matriarch role. Since the square dosnt really have one.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 19/09/2017 22:42

Nick Berry will probably do what he did for Pats funeral, turn up at the end after everyone has left and whisper "goodbye mum/son"

Pearl stole the show for me tonight. And sleepy toddler Arfur.

dingdongdigeridoo · 19/09/2017 23:40

Maybe they pay him by the word.

The80sweregreat · 20/09/2017 06:29

I dont know why Tanya stays away either, she is the worst mum in the world, all this angst her girls go through, yet no sign of her.
I really thought L had moved on a bit from her ordeal with Dean ( bad as it was) its not her husbands fault that his brother was so evil. She has had alot more going on since that as well, both adult children have been ill this year ( one was shot!) yet its all me me me with her. I dont mean to be harsh, but she has to get some kind of closure with that i think, hard as it is.
I thought that counsellors on the NHS ( i doubt they can afford private) would have the session at the GPs or somewhere, not come to your house! The rest was filler really.

youarenotkiddingme · 20/09/2017 06:42

I'm also finding the whole L and Mock thing annoying now.
Weeks and weeks of hearing her suggest counselling and blaming him for shutting out and the rape etc. Telling the councillor they don't talk - when she's the one keeping the secret.
What's even more annoying is it's making me feel slightly sorry for Mock Confused

The80sweregreat · 20/09/2017 07:10

Maybe this is why they will split up in the end, she wont be able to forgive Mick and Shirley for being Dean's relatives and have an affair with Jack or something. Despite the fact that she is hiding her cancer diagnoses from him and disappeared for nearly 8 months without much contact and all the rest of it. her kids need her around and to be strong, not all this self pitying nonsense ( even though what happened to her was terrible etc etc) i can see that it happens to people though, to be fair.

SpanishFly · 20/09/2017 07:43

Kush: "I'll work a couple of nightshifts."
WHERE?

TheNotSoGoodWife · 20/09/2017 07:49

Sinister I'm well past the toddler stage and with 4dc, have no desire ever to go back there again ever BUT sleepy snuggly Arfur and gorgeous GBP did almost tip me back into broodiness. Almost Wink

They were definitely the stars of last nights episode Star

CorporalNobbyNobbs · 20/09/2017 08:50

Spanish I think he meant he'd look after Arfur overnight so Stacey could get some sleep.

The80sweregreat · 20/09/2017 09:02

I think that Kush meant he would have Arthur overnight for stacey as Martin is doing time for pushing a policeman during the great explosion of walford!
I would have thought he would have got a community service order myself, but i am not that au fait with sentencing and how that works,

The80sweregreat · 20/09/2017 09:36

I know i keep on about it , but to think of all the characters that have murdered and got away with it ( Phil, Ronnie, must be others..) Phil put a JCB through the car lot , Ronnie has locked people in cars and murdered the chap that was with Roxy - his relatives knew about that, but she still didnt end up in prison. Martin has drawn the short straw here i think!
poor Stacey. How are they managing for money too if martin isnt able to work? her job as part time bar staff cant bring in much and she was caring for Louis at one stage, thats been dropped.
everyone has bills to find!

HateSummer · 20/09/2017 09:54

I think it's an age old Fowler problem, 80's. For as long as I can remember, the Fowlers always suffer bad luck. They never have money or are hard up. They always make stupid bad decisions or are used/tricked by people. I don't think SOC really thought it through like this, but it does sort of fit in with the history!

CorporalNobbyNobbs · 20/09/2017 10:00

I'm still annoyed on Martin's behalf that Ian is living in HIS house. And was going to give it away to Steven and Lauren!

mrswhiplington · 20/09/2017 10:28

Lots of annoying scenes last night but the worst for me was Kim suddenly becoming all holier than thou when she was talking to the radio reporter. It's so out of character for her. Like the speech she gave in the Vic about all being British and standing together. Kim's antics are one of the few good things about this programme. They need to leave her be.

I love watching Abi rolling her eyes at Lauren and then being all sisterly. Looking forward to Lauren finding out the truth about Abi and Steven. Should be fun.Grin

The80sweregreat · 20/09/2017 11:12

Lauren is so lacklustre ( and didnt love Steven ) i think she wont even be bothered about Abi having his child! She seems to be on a different planet to everyone else.

The80sweregreat · 20/09/2017 11:27

Hate, agree, the Fowlers do have it bad. All started when Arthur stole the christmas money and Pauline hit him over the head with a frying pan for going off with that woman from the allotment ( or where ever she came from)/ I blame Chelle , lol.

HateSummer · 20/09/2017 11:47

Grin, yeah Chelle's a cah.

SpanishFly · 20/09/2017 13:24

Oh that makes sense re Kush, thanks - I was half watching so it hadn't made any sense to me at least the rest of the plot lines make total sense

gingina · 20/09/2017 13:36

@CorporalNobbyNobbs I think Ian bought Paulines old house from martin and shell when she died didn't he??

The80sweregreat · 20/09/2017 14:02

Yes, Ian, the only really successful business man in Walford ( or he was until his chippy was driven into and his restaurant set on fire) did buy auntie pauline;s house after she died.
Next successful business man has to be Phil , although how that old fashioned garage of his keeps going is anyones guess! Him and Sharon seem to live okay, but how is a mystery sometimes, plus he has given the land away to Jay, so he hasnt even that to fall back on now for a pension!

TheNaze73 · 20/09/2017 14:05

The80s That was a dark day when Arfurrr was rocking in that chair having spunked the Christmas money Grin

I hope Lofty & Mehmet return

CorporalNobbyNobbs · 20/09/2017 14:09

No @gingina and @the80s! He inherited it. Pauline left it to Martin on proviso he left Sonia but Martin wouldn't leave Sonia so Ian got the house. I've always felt that when Martin did spilt with Sonia he should have gotten the house back (overinvested)

The80sweregreat · 20/09/2017 14:10

lofty! that poor thing was given the run around by our Chelle and he really loved her too.
i am showing my age here..
