Is anyone watching this? The second landlord with his disgustingly extravagant lifestyle is making me so angry. The communal areas in his flats are horrific.

I am finding this very depressing to watch. Those landlords are shocking I hope they are outliers but sadly I think they might be typical :-(

i have a lot of sympathy for son landlord and him coming to terms with this - it will be a shock. I think he could turn out to be a good egg.

It's great to see that both landlords have tidied things up a bit, although being a bit of a cynic I can't help wondering how much of it has been a 'looking good for the cameras' thing....

I think the landlord should have let his gf stay alone in the flat to get more of an idea of how scary it could be for his tenants.

At the end of the day it's a cash cow for these landlords and in 2 weeks time they won't give a fuck about them or their other tenants as long as the money keeps rolling in. It's criminal the housing crisis in the U.K. We've had 3 plush offices built near me last year and they are still empty, meanwhile no affordable housing and 6000 plus on the housing list. Awful.

A 2 year tennancy though is a good thing.

Son landlord seems like a good bloke, I get the feeling he would have had a battle on his hands with his Dad over keeping the rent as it was.
