Loved Elbow earlier on.

Watching Radiohead brings back memories. Went through a phase of listening to them morning noon and night c. 20 years ago. They're brilliant but quite dark.

I remember being on the Kanye West thread here a few years ago when we ripped the piss out of him.

What does everyone think so far?

Oh great, my DS has just woken up! Have to go upstairs to try to get him back to sleep, could take hours! Will a 3yo understand that I'm trying to relive my youth with you all Grin

I'll 'fess up that I switched over to Dizzy Rascal Blush

I like Radiohead but I find them so wanky live. The headlined Leeds years ago and played all of their b-sides after playing an amazing set at Reading. There'll always be a tinge of tosspot about them now for me.

mamalovesmojitos · 24/06/2017 00:02

Stayed up past my bedtime as I'm so transfixed by Radiohead. Even cracked open a beer!

Imstickingwiththisone · 24/06/2017 00:04

I've loved the last 45 mins of their set. Its hard to believe it's the same band that's produced all this music it's so varied.

Creep! This will make you cry OP!

NormaSmuff · 24/06/2017 00:05

dh went to bed, couldnt stand radiohead. i was just waiting for some tunes that I knew, i wasnt disappointed, just loved the couple I knew

PantPlot · 24/06/2017 00:05

I'm glad they're not above doing their first hit again now. I still think this is a beautifully constructed song.

littlemissneela · 24/06/2017 00:06

Oh my! Fake Plastic Trees and now Creep cries

Imstickingwiththisone · 24/06/2017 00:07

His voice is outstanding!!

DrumstickLolly · 24/06/2017 00:08

StorminaBcup I saw them at Leeds and it was my best gig ever. I did have a head full of acid at the time though.

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff · 24/06/2017 00:11

DS is self settling, still here! I was singing to Creep, so apt, ha ha!

OP posts:
BrutusMcDogface · 24/06/2017 00:12

Two- Me too!! Don't you think the rain added to the gig?! The most atmospheric gig I think I've ever been to. Oh, karma police. Sigh.

ChiefClerkDrumknott · 24/06/2017 00:12

I tried to like Radiohead then and now but I'm afraid I just dôn't get it Confused A bit like the Manics; one great song and the rest is depressing, wailing shite. I've watched the whole set and it was only Creep that gave me goosebumps

Imstickingwiththisone · 24/06/2017 00:13

Classic Radiohead shits on new Radiohead.

Thom Yorke seems happy! I've mistaken him to be an emotionless man over the years.

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff · 24/06/2017 00:14

So brilliant. That was amazing 👏👏👏👏👏

BrutusMcDogface · 24/06/2017 00:17

Imsticking- I thought that, too! He was actually smiling!

Humansareidiots · 24/06/2017 00:17

Thankfully I did Smile

BrutusMcDogface · 24/06/2017 00:18

Mind you he can't possibly be emotionless and come up with the stuff he does! Grin

Imstickingwiththisone · 24/06/2017 00:19

What is this?! I seriously expect to recogñise the headline of the other stage. This is a combo of me knowing nothing about new pop music and what the fuck has happened to glasto

Imstickingwiththisone · 24/06/2017 00:21

True Brutus! I've also imagined him to be posh over the years and he sounded like a right geezer Grin he's just a man who gives no fucks Grin

PantPlot · 24/06/2017 00:22

Yy I'm sure he was posh!

HeddaGarbled · 24/06/2017 00:25

The thing about Thom Yorke and his wife though is they split up before she died and he's been papped with his much younger actress girlfriend for quite a while now.

Nothing to do with the music of course, which is awesome, just don't believe everything his PR place in NME & Rolling Stone.

furlinedsheepskinjacket · 24/06/2017 00:26

no thanks

i switched over to dizzee

StorminaBcup · 24/06/2017 00:26

drumstick perhaps that's where we went wrong with our choice of narcotics!

londonpia · 24/06/2017 00:30

It was ok, a bit dreary for me but I can understand the love. Their songs are almost like anthems. Cannot wait for the Foos tomorrow! Missed Royal Blood- have seen them three times live and they are amazing- I really do hope they make it, as they could be huge.

StayAChild · 24/06/2017 00:30

Their set lasted ages. Fantastic. Jonny Greenwood will have an aching neck tomorrow, for sure.
