Akire, did I mishear all that? I honestly thought the job coach said D has to apply online, get an appointment, and then it's usually quite quick after that? And I was a bit Hmm from what I've heard about the process.

No you didn't mishear he said you apply online then get interview. Tactfully missing the part where younhavnt done your C V or brought right paper work and even if all correct it take least 6 weeks!

Plus no ones asked why she left her job in first place so she probable wait week apply then after a month say we spoke to last work and you left so another 4 month wait with
No money!

When my son signed on in 2011 he filled forms in on line first, then the appointment, then they paid him. He was unemployed for 2 months and was never treated like this, the staff were professional and fairly helpful., UC may be different and this wasnt a london job centre, but his experience wasnt that bad. I imagine it is for a lot of people though, his was a straight forward claim tobe fair.
It does take a while to start,but once its in motion it is a bit smoother.
Dee needs money, there shouldnt be any shame.

Massive social issue storyline there! The run down people in old clothing all around the JC and then the ex marketing director all dressed nicely pointing out that it's a top gap and can happen to anyone - and tats why she paid taxes etc etc.
And the byline how most people don't want to be on them.

I actually though it was a good message - except I'm sure it's something most people knew anyway!
(I do wonder how a channel 5 soap would have written the storyline Wink)

And what did Max and Charlie cook up? And why is Max so intent on ruining Jack?

I live the lines Kush has. He's an natural comedian and I'd wish they'd use him more.

youarenotkidding - I think that Max beat Charlie up at his B&B and then the altercation that Jack and Charlie had last week was reported to the police as a brutal attack.

God, last nights episode was like a public service announcement on why claiming benefits is ok!
Dee annoys the shit out of me, if she acted like a grown woman instead of having toddler tantrums she would still have a bloody job & the same at the job centre - talk to the bloke normally & ask what to do fgsAngry
Max will have given Charlie a wallop to make It look like jack beat him up.
Is Dee even looking for another job? And who walks anywhere in shoes like that?
What's the betting Chelle doesn't get the shop job & starts a campaign about ageism in the work place? Yawn yawn, wake me up when they get a new producer
