She is also very proud and principled, and a bit of a dark horse in some ways. Didn't she go through an alcoholic phase a couple of years ago? The way her face dropped when Patrick not coming back looked awful. Its quite a dark storyline.

Small irritant is that the dog is referred to constantly as 'Lady Di' In real life wouldn't that have been shortened to 'Lady' or 'Di' by now?

Yes we can speculation not spoilers ., job centres are appointment only these days so it being empty is possible

mrs jayy , Max phoned Charlie Cotton and he appeared overnight, although i was a bit confused as Charlie said that Dorothy phoned him up and managed to get hold of him somehow ( some back story about him having another mobile or something) so not clear on that one. Anyway, he showed up and was helping out with the child, but it transpires he now wants custody. Dot got wind of this and warned Jack about this and now they both have solicitors on the case!
Denise is struggling without any money, she had a meal cooked and bought for him by Kush, but they had a row over her studying all the time for the exams coming up soon and she told him that they had nothing and common and they should split up. Carmel tried to talk to Denise ( who is weak with hungar) and she hit carmel round the face, which was horrible actually. Denise has finally called the benefits office, but she has nothing in the house to eat and wont tell anyone. Sharon tried to talk to her , but she is pushing everyone away. Patrick contacted Kim and he is still in Jamaica, he was coming home but decided to stay on after missing his flight. Denise was gutted about that. Witless is growing closer to Woody after they went to pick up Ollie for his very big party in the square - linda still cant leave her mum alone - which makes me wonder why she isnt a home if she is that bad?

I think Twitney may need shares in Kleenex!

So Denise has finally decided to sign on - it'll be interesting how they take this storyline. There seems to be a political line running behind a lot of what we see ATM. And we all know the BBC is very political in what news stories it broadcasts etc anyway!

As I said I like Denise's storyline. Its not really realistic - she has a nice home (!), a loving boyfriend she got rid of, and people around who do care (even if they don't understand her - her sister for example.). What is her problem is not clear - to be really involving I think we need to understand more. But OTOH its so kinda sad I don't know I want to .

It makes a change from whose shagging who and annoying storylines about custody.

As for Witney - with every episode she is wearing more and more make-up. Its actually quite disturbing! And those china blue eyes with the thick kohl always ready to bubble over. Eastenders was always good with make-up and clothes.

The MIller family were the same , but they didnt last that long and all disappeared within a few years. The Slaters were the same.

Slightly off topic, but I saw a clip of Celeb Masterchef earlier with the guy who played Trevor. He still gives me the shivers when I hear his voice.

I find the Denise storyline a bit distressing especially given the new trailer. I am so the opposite, would have no problem whatsoever telling the world and its sister I was skint and asking for cash from my sister/boyfriend/best mate/benefits etc.

Yes, agree its a bit distressing. Like she is really mentally losing it ... but not quite the usual unbelievable histrionics of soaps, it actually reminds me a bit of Polanski's Rosemary's Baby, a woman slowly going mad .

I think I'm only one not seen trialer yet. Looking forward
