Talking of different writers dosnt make sense that Ian didn't have building contents in chippy because coat to much. No idea couple thousand maybe. Yet he's considering going private for his health which must be what £60-£100 a month at his age and conditions?

I'm waiting for Jane to go from taking one or two steps to dancing around the kitchen. She also seems to have completely forgotten that Steven once SHOT her and she can not have children because of him. I'm not so sure I could sit around the dinner table with him. EE used to be something i looked forward to of an evening, sit down with a cuppa and see what's going on, now it feels like i'm watching the boring episode 'fillers' for a half hour straight each time it's on...the main stories at the moment would just've been subplots a year ago...

Money (having it/ not having it) and jobs (having them/not having them) are always a bit of a weird thing on Eastenders. It's all a bit Monopoly. People suddenly run out of money after losing their job weeks ago but seem in no hurry to get a new job - Denise with variations on a theme for everyone else. But equally there are those who have loads of money without ever really seeming to earn it, or have credible businesses - Jack, Vincent, Phil. Everyone seems to do as much or as little work as each other. But all on the square.

Ian's a particular mystery at the moment. Not sure if he has money or not? Uninsured caff etc but talking about going to a private gp. 🤔🤔

They should all be perpetually skint because the all drink in the Vic, eat in the caff and shop at the corner shop. Which don't come cheap.

I wonder if Stacey and Martin are going to have the first realistic pregnancy and birth in soap land. You know, a happy couple, plan a baby, fall pregnant and then give birth in an NHS hospital and then go home.

Not conceived in a dodgy drunken one night stand with your cousin's uncle's best friend's dog, and then born in super fast time in the local manger/market/pub assisted by untrained neighbours and somehow manage to avoid getting sweaty and covered in blood.

It would probably be a soap first!

Blondes I had the same thoughts too re max, Lauren and getting to work. Most city workers are there at 8 and wouldn't drive into Canary Wharf...think of the Parking costs!! Also when max was at jacks during the day then looks at his watch and says "I best get back to work" like he just had to walk round the corner". Walford replaces Bromley by bow on the tube map so from there to Canary Wharf is at least 20 mins without walking, delays etc. All these minor overlooked details gets in my wick.

creamcheese - i would forgive all these overlooked details if it wasn't for the fact that they've spent ages doing "normal" storylines (think of the bins people) - why bother doing a "look they have problems just like you or me" but then have Max driving in to give both Abby and Lauren lifts but still be on time for work, god knows where he left the car...

Dee's broke but has perfect nails - why create a storyline and just say "ah feck it" with the details? Did the writers actually go and do their research into anyone who has been in a similar situation? The character is too proud to rely on handouts from her friends and family (despite her community involvement) ok fine...but then she is also too proud to apply to every job going (and therefore maintain her independent woman stance) and Fs up an interview when she discovers it's for cleaning?

And Steven just wandering in with Louie? Yes EE not one viewer could possibly work in the city and know that this just wouldn't happen.

EE has more holes in it at the moment than one of Steven's tampered with condoms.
