Anyone else planning on watching this three-parter that starts tonight at 9?

Terrible. terrible ending. I wanted it to be like Fight Club or Angel Heart and Paula didn't even actually exist, it was all just a descent into paranoia and craziness caused by pregnancy. Grin

MrsJayy · 15/03/2017 10:15

Urgh what a rubbish end was fine for the first 20ish minutes then it just got ridiculous

The80sweregreat · 15/03/2017 10:17

What became of Paula's husband too?

namechangedtoday15 · 15/03/2017 10:21

Noel that made me laugh too Smile

funnylikeaclown · 15/03/2017 10:23

Wow, it really bombed at the end didn't it? For a mystery/thriller story the writer should really have the ending in their mind from the start - a weak ending just ruins the whole experience.

Vicky McClure really sold it to people with the strength of her perfomance - without her people would have lost patience much earlier on

Elendon · 15/03/2017 10:24

It's obviously a teddy bear that is on Ellen's lap at the ending.

cowgirlsareforever · 15/03/2017 10:26

I must admit I did initially think that Ellen had a second child, and that maybe she had reconciled with Ian, which just led to further confusion for me when I then saw it was a teddy bear Confused

MrsJayy · 15/03/2017 10:27

Vicky Mcclures mad eye acting was good though.

The80sweregreat · 15/03/2017 10:29

i cannot find Noelheadbands post!

MrsJayy · 15/03/2017 10:32

If the husband had put tgat tracker on he would have found Lia in about 5 seconds

SumThucker · 15/03/2017 10:35

Can't believe what a steaming pile of shite that was, disappointed!

No twist, just absolute bollocks Angry

funnylikeaclown · 15/03/2017 10:35

It's on page 32 The80's - just spent ages looking for it...

pho3be · 15/03/2017 10:38

So was Paula's DH actually her bil then? The neices dad? Otherwise her brother/sister is also Indian?

The80sweregreat · 15/03/2017 10:41

thank you, will scroll back!

The80sweregreat · 15/03/2017 10:42

that was funny!

AgentCooper · 15/03/2017 10:45

Re: parking in Ellen's street, there is a big parking area on Park Gate at the end of the street that you don't see. You need a permit from Glasgow City Council for the Park District displayed at all times in your window which I did NOT observe on Ian & Ellen's car (disgraceful) Grin

That said, my old next door neighbour was a total gangster who never got a permit and just left his big ridiculous Land Rover in the lane at all times and was given multiple tickets. It had a personalised numberplate and all.

MrsJayy · 15/03/2017 10:45

No it was her husband. Wtf was the dreamy bit at the end about Ellen reading the libary story to Lia with Dougray Scott just lurking

Ferrisday · 15/03/2017 10:46

The niece would have been Paula's husbands brother or sisters child.

funnylikeaclown · 15/03/2017 10:47

'overdosing on viagra tablets' Grin

Ironically the story as it originally seemed - a women fearing that her Maternity cover is out to take her place - could have been much better and more beliveable while still allowing plenty of creepy stuff

The80sweregreat · 15/03/2017 10:48

Isnt it funny how some people can just get away with not observing the rules, ignoring the tickets or not being just towed away? We put a parking ticket from the machine upside down in the front window of the car once, you could clearly see it and the date but because it wasnt the right way up, they tried to fine us - we had to appeal and everything all for a poxy hour in the big car park in town which is a rip off anyway.
Others get away with it all..

MrsJayy · 15/03/2017 10:48

Im surprised at parking spaces in Glasgow city centre they just drew up and parked. Oh and empty pubs why was that pub empty

ipkin · 15/03/2017 10:50

thought it would end with Paula holding Lia with Ian's arm around her while either at Ellen's funeral or being sent down for murder. Complete with a dead behind the eyes semi smile.

Yes! What a pity.

As soon as you saw the baby on the windowsill, and obvious somebody was going to take her, you could see how it was going to go. No twist, just crammed in unbelievable silliness.

The80sweregreat · 15/03/2017 10:52

when she drew up outside the cafe last week trailing Georgia - she parked right outside!! not many places you can do that , apart from rural wales in the middle of a field maybe! lol

spiney · 15/03/2017 10:57

So the baby had the tracker ( fit bit) on which is how Paula could hear on her phone via the app on her phone...no/yes?.....so...why couldn't Dad ?!!!

Had he not set the app up....?

And baby on the windowsill! , classic 'Casualty ' moment!
Now you see the baby and........now you don't!!!!🤣

spiney · 15/03/2017 10:59

*how Paula could hear the baby crying....
