I'm thinking what on earth is the situation with Paula's daughter. Why is she always at sleep overs. Paula looked very intense when Ellen asked about that. Good acting!

"Carys" doesn't exist does she? I thought when Ellen was facebook messaging her about meeting up and keeping it a surprise from her Mum that it showed Paula typing - LOL ;)) - at the idea.....was definitely her manicured fingers on the keyboard.

It wasn't immediately after Ellen first messaging Caris, Luxemberger. She could have told Paula she'd received the message and then Paula took control of her account.

Queen, i think she did the befriending on line because she didnt believe that Paula and her husband were home the night Kay died on the roof.
She was hoping to get Caris alone and question her about things - hence the ' let me show you the office' and inviting herself to dinner with them.
didnt work though!

I know you just don't friend/message children without parents knowing. A mum of dds friend messaged dd and other friends when there had been a fall out at school i was furious they were 13.

Ellen is desperate though and she probably doesnt realise that there is an age limit or any of the guides about safe guarding children. Even if she is aware its wrong, she is determined to get to the truth at any cost it seems, even if it means breaking the rules. She is as deranged as Paula and being very reckless.

I don't think the girl at the office was Carys.She never said 'this is Carys' she just brought her in. They looked like they were having another argument or something when they were leaving the office. I hope the story isn't that there are two unstable female architechts who have gone nuts after they have had babies Hmm

I think I lost any sympathy for her at that point.

Is Caris Paula's step daughter?

The way she looked at Ellen's baby, it does seem that she has had a baby/child that died.

Of course if that comes out, the sympathy will all be back to Paula!

We saw a girl we assumed was Carys - didn't say her name though - Paula -
referred to her as sweetheart - defintely something odd there.

I'm beginning to wonder now if why wait is right. I wonder if Paula is Ellen, when her daughter was a baby and she's now having some kind of delusion or flashbacks about the past because her baby died so she's imagining herself with a 10 year old, giving her younger self advice about how she should have done things differently.

Interesting theories here. I so hope there is a satisfactory ending though and not one of those where my overwhelming thoughts are 'eh?'

I also hope it's not a Dallas-type Bobby Ewing in the shower ending.

I think Paula will turn out to be ok, or controlled by a baddie which I think will be Ellen's husband or David. I wonder about the book her MIL left on the table that opened at post partum psychosis, was that to scare her?

IME what Mumsnet comes up with are far more far fetched and elaborate storylines than the writers actually come up with! I hope it all ties together at the end because there have been a run of these dramas that started well then just got really silly like Doctor Foster and that one with Anna Friel.
