Wow what a backhand Denise has, but assault against a minor thats not going to end well is it. Unless it somehow turns out he is basically raising himself and Denise feels protective and takes him in or some such bobbins and he'll become a new person like Billy did.

I also dont think the witnesses will have seen anything if asked.

It's not exactly gripping at the moment. They've had some cracking drama over the years - well written, good acting, moving. Now it's just dull stories, characters we're not fussed about and what should be filler (the bins etc) interspersed with segments of good drama and acting - Denise, Shirley.

Definitely looks like Ian may have diabetes with the going to the toilet more references.

It looked as though Ian had a cushion stuffed up his jumper before he went for his medical - you could see the outlines of padding. Not sure why as he already has huge gut. I'll wager he is in line for diabetes diagnosis and/or gastric band - can't eat much, loses will to live and restaurant business (with luck).
Did Witless remove top layer of slap to signal new martyred station in life? Will go to plain and frumpy with unwashed hair soon. I swear that if she and Mick get it on I am going to chain self to Square railings in protest.

I also thought they tried to make Ian look extra fat before his medical and when Jane mentioned how many times he'd been to the toilet, I said diabetes to DH.

Mick was basically asking jack to pay for his money trouble. There's no way the VIC leak is the roof when it hasn't been raining. DH has been shouting at the tele and he's normally the one reminding me it's not real.

I also think there may be no witnesses to Denise's slap.

They couldn't have been less subtle with their hints of a diabetes diagnosis :o

It the cake at Dots that did it he pays for his washing in cake sure fire way of getting type 2. Dots water bill must be sky high with taking in all the squares washing

poor Jane though, she cant do much herself as it is and Lauren and Steven are not that helpful. Jane needs a miracle.

Jane was pushing her wheelchair wrong last week it bugged me she needs a bigger break between pushes

i didnt notice that about Jane. i feel for her really, a poorly husband , lauren and steven dont seem to do much and she doesnt seem to go out that much now ( despite the new chair)

yes, who did used to live where ben and Jay are staying? why didnt jay go back to the EA and say ' you said you had the cleaners in, but its in a mess', they must have charged them for that service.

It's just been the daftest shoe-horning in of an empty property in the square ever! House never mentioned is suddenly occupied by students having 24 hour noisy parties for erm 3 episodes/5 days, couple of people ring council, students vanish et voila, a house for Ben and Jay to rent

Also it's been cleaned professionally - oh no wait it's still a dump, shall we complain to the estate agents and get a rent reduction for the first month or get them to actually clean it? No never mind we'll do it ourselves and redecorate after we've had a party

I saw on the news yesterday how the BBC are investing millions in BBC Scotland and thought if only they could keep a bit back and spend it on some new staff for eastenders, sigh ........

So my predictions for tonight:-

Ian will mope about being worried about his gp appt but will of course keep it a secret from everyone
Whiney will move back to the vic and will start the build up to doing bad things with her father in law
Nuchelle will start getting jealous over Preston & Bex
Something pretty dull will occur re Denise "knuckles" and keegan
