Starts this Thursday 8pm on BBC2. Will fill the Interior Design gap nicely

I can't see how on earth either judge thought Cáit should be saved. Last in the throwdown, the vase wasn't the required height and was a wonky mess. Surely she needs to be put out of her misery?

MrsJamin · 03/03/2017 06:28

I'm bemused how Richard and coit are still in this! I'd like to see Ryan or clover win.

Fontella · 04/03/2017 11:03

To my mind Richard should have gone last week, but they never even classed him in the bottom three, despite him coming last in one challenge, second to last in another and his final fountain piece was one of the weakest.

But he somehow went under the radar and then this week he got 'pot of the week' so that saved him.

Cáit however is the most disorganised, infuriating and over ambitious potter there. She has all these grand ideas but is never able to execute them, something always goes wrong and yet she manages to get through week after week.

I don't mind who wins, as long as it is deserved.

MrsJamin · 04/03/2017 11:26

Richard and coit/cait definitely wouldn't deserve to win, it could be any of the other 4.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 04/03/2017 11:56

Cait seems to have been on borrowed time since the very first episode - I don't know how she has survived this far. Running out of time once or twice I can understand, but she does it every week. MrsJamin is right - she should not win.

My favourite is Clover - I love her and her pottery so much.

coldcanary · 04/03/2017 13:31

Cait is really getting on my nerves - I have no idea how she survived the last episode. It's Clover or Nam for me.

JamesDelaneysHat · 04/03/2017 15:57

I think it will come down to being between Clover, Nam and Freya.

Davros · 04/03/2017 16:22

I didn't like the results of pit firing. All quite drab and disappointing

OP posts:
IHappenToLikeDrivingInNails · 04/03/2017 20:41

Yes I agree- thought it would be more spectacular than it was too.

WotNoLoobrush · 04/03/2017 23:48

Yes, I didn't think much of the pit firing either. Although I did like Richards.

LIZS · 09/03/2017 20:04

Wtf is she wearing ?!

thebakerwithboobs · 09/03/2017 20:28

I can't deal with Richard's dripping sweat Envy

ItsJustACompanyPolicyOfMine · 09/03/2017 20:29

How many times can they say 'Flange' ?!

ItsJustACompanyPolicyOfMine · 09/03/2017 20:30

LIZS, it's a hideous smock extraordinaire isn't it?

iwouldgoouttonight · 09/03/2017 21:50

I came on here just to see what people were saying about that smock Confused it looked like it was covered in stains too.

Probably the right choice with Cait and Nam, although would have preferred Richard to go.

PurpleDaisies · 09/03/2017 21:52

I wasn't keen on the smock either.

Wasn't Clover's set of Russian dolls amazing? She was head and shoulders above the others this week.

iwouldgoouttonight · 09/03/2017 21:58

They were beautiful, I really like Clover. I think if you're going to have ceramic Russian dolls they need to be small otherwise they'd just be too heavy to do anything with. And I'd probably break them.

Heinousfauxpas · 09/03/2017 22:10

So glad Clover shone this week. Her dolls were so beautiful and different. And really pleased for Freya. If hers hadn't fit exactly the whole thing would have been a disaster. But they came together so well.

Kate's smock Shock. Seems to be taking her fashion inspiration from Grayson Perry this week. Ryan's fish were huge and clutsy looking. Surprised he was so off the mark.

Fontella · 09/03/2017 22:22

Sad to see Nam go, but he didn't leave them any choice really.

Thank goodness Cáit has finally gone! How she scraped through week after week I don't know.

Clover is such a sweetie and such exquisite work this week. Richard got the huff that they didn't like his17th century scraping whatsit design (can't remember the proper term for it - have had wine) and Ryan was well off the mark with those fish.

Looking forward to the semis!

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 09/03/2017 22:42

I didn't think Ryan should have stayed over Cait when his dolls didn't fit together and hers did. Though she has survived every week by the skin of her teeth, so maybe they were taking that into consideration.

Megatherium · 09/03/2017 23:29

It would have been really unfair for Cait to go through when she only produced three objects and didn't even finish those off properly. They took into account that Ryan did very well in the two mini tests, and I think that was fair. What Richard produced was really mediocre - it's a shame Nam's was such a disaster, given that he was trying to be much more ambitious than Richard.

Davros · 09/03/2017 23:55

We adored Clover's Russian dolls and would buy some tomorrow if we could. She was great this week.
Never mind the smock, what about the heart shaped glasses? Shock

OP posts:
Brillig · 10/03/2017 08:55

I too was ShockShock about the smock/dress thing, especially as it appeared to be tea-stained at the top and grey around the hem, but someone I follow on Instagram was raving about how amazing it was. Apparently it's by Antoni + Alison. Didn't do it for me.

Anyway, very pleased Clover did so well and yes, sorry for Cait but her time had come.

iwouldgoouttonight · 10/03/2017 10:15

Just looked up Antoni and Alison and they have some incredible dresses. This is a very similar style to the tea stained smock. £690 Shock It's kind of thing that may look fantastic on a catwalk but anyone wearing it in really life would just look insane.

Heinousfauxpas · 10/03/2017 13:57

Iwouldgoouttonight just been on Antoni&Alison as was intrigued. I bet anything that Grayson Perry does get dresses there. The one you linked looks just like something he'd wear. I think some of the similar ones on the site look bonkers and not in a good way, even on the models. Either that or I'm just getting old and boring.
