A new thread for the new year Smile

Will the truth come out about how Roxy and Ronnie died yesterday?
Will the new exec producer lose his obsession with bins?
Has Max really forgiven Jane, Ian and Phil?
What secret does the new 'Chelle have?
Will Johnny Sausage learn to act?
Is Denise going to go through with the adoption?
What's going to happen with Lee?
What are your hopes for EE this year?

Come and discuss here!

I was saying Mick and DD being only just 40 surprised me. He doesn't look old but really thought he was older. Must be the 3 adult kids thing like you say.

CorporalNobbyNobbs · 05/01/2017 05:13

Oh I know he is only 39 I just meant he seems older as he has a 24 year old! Smile

CorporalNobbyNobbs · 05/01/2017 05:13

Although Danny D has a 20 year old irl too.

WomanFromAnotherPlace · 05/01/2017 05:18

Just caught up with everything.

I agree, the ice cubes/OJ was to demonstrate how contradictory The Strand Cigarette Lonely Man Michelle is.

Kind of glad Lee's work/debt business has come out in the open. Maybe we won't hear Witless's tinkly laugh as much. I really hope they don't do a Mick/Witless affair storyline, though I can see it heading that way for Honey and Jack.

WomanFromAnotherPlace · 05/01/2017 05:19

Oh, and did anyone notice Jack reading a letter about refuse collection? What a time to shoehorn the bin storyline in!

OhTinky · 05/01/2017 07:00

So Whitney knows about the truth about Lee's job (finally!) and Mick knows about the job and the debt (hurrah!). But does Whitney know Lee is thousands of pounds in debt/payday loans etc? He seemed to get away with not telling her!

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/01/2017 07:40

How much debt is he in. Looked like 500 ish on the laptop

SoupDragon · 05/01/2017 07:42

Honey and Jack have been brewing for ages.i hope they don't do that storyline as I like Billy and Honey together. Despite all expectations, they actually make a good couple.

MrsBotox · 05/01/2017 08:29

I will have to name change now have outed self as MrsLindaBotox. Might try Elcarter.

DeleteOrDecay · 05/01/2017 09:01

I'd imagine he'd have a couple of grands worth of debt now, given the astronomical rates of pay day loan companies.

Cantgetmyoldnameback · 05/01/2017 09:04

Lee got pay day loan after pay day loan to but Whitney wedding stuff, pay the rent etc so probably owes £1,000s.

I don't think he's confessed to anyone that it was him that stole the charity money from the bar.

The80sweregreat · 05/01/2017 09:12

The payday loan must have racked up a lot by now. Lee isnt selling too many eleccy deals either.. I dont think Whitless knows about the level of debts , but i am not sure tbh of what she knows! I dont want her cuddling up to mick..
Mick needs to get on to linda about Elaine's pub and her own money in the uk. She must have some and the pub must be worth something!
A honey / jack affair does look on the cards in the future. Billy has a lot of faults but he loves her and the kids.

SoupDragon · 05/01/2017 10:24

Has Kellie Bright had her baby?

HSMMaCM · 05/01/2017 10:26

Apologies if anyone's already mentioned it, but did the neighbour ever find out Lee nicked his parcel delivery?

SoupDragon · 05/01/2017 10:27

Answer: yes she has. She gave birth to her second son, Gene, in late November.

I googled a couple of weeks ago and found nothing.

SoupDragon · 05/01/2017 10:27

I don't think theneighbour did,no.

WomanFromAnotherPlace · 05/01/2017 10:39

As much as I find Lee a bit of a snivelling drip (although the multi-story car park episode changed that for me), I am annoyed that Mick and Witless aren't reflecting on their own behaviour that contributed to Lee's need to be this great man who can 'look after' his 'missus'.

Mick and his archaic views on the man's role in a relationship: being the main breadwinner, the emotional supporter, going out and getting 'the readies' to make a home for his fahhhhhmily.

'L' and the pressure she put on the couple to have children.

Witless and her need to be the domestic goddess, not bothering with her own career, wanting the kids/marriage thing, ludicrously expensive flat.

This and it's obvious to anyone that Lee looked distressed most of the time and not one person - okay, maybe plain old Sausage - ever asked if he was ok.

The80sweregreat · 05/01/2017 11:16

no, the parcel wasn't mentioned again and lee sold it on for cash. the charity box hasn't been brought up either.

agree with above about Lee and it being his mum and dad's fault really ( going back to when he first got this job and what they expected of him)
so much pressure on him and Whitless was in a world of her own.

HoHumming · 05/01/2017 11:20

Did Lee adroit to stealing Linda's bracelet?

I wonder will Babe steal but Mick will be blamed?

I think the scene of Jack reading the refuse letter was to show everyday life continues even when the most important thing in your life is gone.

HoHumming · 05/01/2017 11:20
  • I mean Lee will be blamed.
The80sweregreat · 05/01/2017 11:25

lee put the bracelet down the side of the sofa and Sylvia found it and gave it back to Tina or someone. He got away with that one!

imagine going back to work and facing your colleague that your dad has just beaten up? ' nice Christmas?' yeah, apart from ending up in A and E.
Oz looks like he works out - he could cause a lot more misery for Lee.

HoHumming · 05/01/2017 11:30

Why isn't Lee applying for other jobs? I agree Mick and Whitney both piled pressure on Lee but he grew up in that environment so probably had high expectations for himself/perceived role too.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 05/01/2017 12:05

I'd like to see Lee knocking on car park attendant lady's office door and thanking her for saving his life.
She would always wonder what happened to the lad she talked down off the roof.

HateSummer · 05/01/2017 12:40

Dear me, I just came across this. For anyone who is interested: this is Lee and Whitney the musical. Don't worry no spoilers 😂, but please watch it for laughs

CondensedMilkSarnies · 05/01/2017 12:57

Good grief !! I find that quite cringey.
