So here are the song choices

Saara Aalto
No More Tears (Enough is Enough)

Honey G
Stayin’ Alive

Emily Middlemas
Wishing on a Star

Sam Lavery
I Will Survive

Ryan Lawrie
Play That Funky Music

Matt Terry
Best of My Love

5 After Midnight
Boogie Wonderland

I was right with my prediction that Emily would do Rose Royce- but I would have gone with 'Love don't live here any more' 'Wish upon a star' seems a bit up beat Grin

Someone always does 'No more tears, and I always think 'but it's a DUET!!' - It's very Elfish though.

Ryan will be terrible, he really isn't funky, 5am will be karaoke, and I am already visualising a white shell suit for Honey G, like when Kenny Everett used to do piss take sketches of the Bee Gees. Grin

I think Sam will struggle. Any one who sings a song like 'I will survive' always loses Grin.

see y'all later.

nancy75 · 12/11/2016 20:42

Yes mrs Claus is M&S

Roussette · 12/11/2016 20:42

Awww bless 80s! I always wanted a son, have DDs, but am lucky enough to have a DSS special boy he is Grin

dillite · 12/11/2016 20:43

My brothers says that 5am look like fuckboys. Apparently there's an urban dictionary explanation of the term, but I can not be arsed to google it.

NoelHeadbands · 12/11/2016 20:43

I have a 15 year old DD who idolises her big brother but is constantly exasperated by her 9 year old little brother, so the M&S ad hits a nerve. I like it.

Roussette · 12/11/2016 20:45

I effing love this song. They are not doing it justice. I need to find something to block my ears up

Raahh · 12/11/2016 20:45

Well, the sound is shit so far, so god knows what they sound like 'live'.

and it's a mash-up. Oh goody.

OP posts:
Roussette · 12/11/2016 20:45

oh god no

A mash up of my fave group from my youth. Travesty

NoelHeadbands · 12/11/2016 20:45

Your man looks like a little LL Cool J

Destinysdaughter · 12/11/2016 20:46

Has anyone ever noticed that although disco songs sound happy, their lyrics are often v sad...?

nancy75 · 12/11/2016 20:46

Definition of a fuckboy, sounds about right!
It might be the Adidas sneakers, it could be the tight shirts, or the fact that he looks like a neon reject from a crappy suburban rap video, or it could just be the fact that it looks like half of his wardrobe came from Spencer's. It's hard to tell, but usually, you know a fuckboy when you see one. 2. He's a coward.

The80sweregreat · 12/11/2016 20:46

Mine are old now, 24 n 19! Bless em.
5 after midnight , the tea towel is back!
Was he a cleaner in a past life. .?
Not bad, bit boring.
Louis loves..

Raahh · 12/11/2016 20:46

well, once again , the backing singers and the backing track did a great job. they possibly mimed a bit.

I really don't know why the judges have multiple orgasms every time these guys perform, I mean, they're ok but they're not the Jacksons

Roussette · 12/11/2016 20:47

Thing is... talking seriously now...

These are such bloody good songs, it would take someone tone deaf to ruin this. It is not fair. They are trading on fantastic songs...

nancy75 · 12/11/2016 20:47

The crowd must have heard a different thing to me, that was just boring

TheFairyCaravan · 12/11/2016 20:48

It was bloody shite.

Mine are old now too, almost 22 and 20. I'd love to do it all over again.

NoisyBrain · 12/11/2016 20:48

I find myself feeling a maternal kind of affection towards 5am. Not the best singers, great dancers though and always really smiley.

Roussette · 12/11/2016 20:49

I am totally fed up with this and Louis' ramblings. He picked easy songs. I could make a good mash up of these fantastic songs. just joking really but you know what I mean

Raahh · 12/11/2016 20:49

Is there an ad break after every act tonight?!

OP posts:
Destinysdaughter · 12/11/2016 20:49

Agree, the songs are soooo good, they do carry mediocre performers through. But isn't that the music industry in general?

QueenLaBeefah · 12/11/2016 20:49

Total shite.

nancy75 · 12/11/2016 20:50

Tickets for the tour anyone? No? Thought not!

The80sweregreat · 12/11/2016 20:50

Rou, they are good songs. True, disco hits do have sad lyrics.
Even YMCA was about men finding sanctuary in a cruel world.
Remember this on the Y

TheFairyCaravan · 12/11/2016 20:50

They could do the show in half the time if there was less adverts
