Wanted to make this a separate thread to make it obvious.

I didn't know this until I saw it mentioned it somewhere else today. Fox are showing the walking dead at 2.30 am!

I won't manage to watch it - I'm 7 months pregnant and my 3 year old isn't sleeping well but if you were able, it would be cool.

Apart from the time she spent with Michonne, Andrea constantly tried to ally herself with a man using her body as bait. First Shane and then the Governor - that's why she became split up from Michonne.
Michonne is underestimated by new characters because they don't expect her to be so badass.

MiddleClassProblem · 25/10/2016 23:59

Andrea was annoying, particularly in the beginning. She was like a teenager wanting guns and boys but not knowing how to handle either of them. At least we didn't see her bonk Dale like in comic

myyoyo · 26/10/2016 00:02

I'd forgotten about Dale! What happened to him?

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 26/10/2016 00:14

Walker got him at Hershel's farm. He went over to investigate a downed cow and the walker popped up, knocked him to the ground and ripped his guts out. The others found him and Daryl put him out of his misery. The walker that killed him was the one that Carl antagonised and left at the creek.

MargotLovedTom · 26/10/2016 00:34

Andrea landed on her feet shagging the Governor though I prefer to think of him as David Morrissey in that context Wink.

I'd really like to know what Maggie does next in the comics but I know people don't like spoilers.

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/10/2016 03:51

So a small I don't read comics did abe and glen die in the comic? Or they aren't following them?

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/10/2016 03:53

Small?? As I don't read comics 😳😳

Bigfam · 26/10/2016 03:58

Andrea really annoyed me as well & lori, especially in the scenes leading up to shane's death, I feel like she kind of taunted Rick about Shane, like she was playing them off against eachother and then got all high and mighty when Rick killed him.

TheDrsDocMartens · 26/10/2016 06:05

In the comic Glenn dies in this way. Abe should have gone with the arrow that Denise got.

StealthPolarBear · 26/10/2016 06:21

Yes there was definitely something odd about the axe. It was on the roof but that's not how began threw it (and it would have been a difficult throw from inside surely).
But it was there ,rick picked it up and did his zombie leap at which point he dropped it and then he had to retrieve it again

Oh no a hareem of women that are his prisoners would be awful. I hope they dont do that.

Negan threw the axe on the roof for Rick to get.

DispatchReady · 26/10/2016 09:33

I'm on the other thread too but just can't get enough of the discussions! justyou I had the same problem with the Talking Dead but I also have Now tv so just finished watching on there.

I still keep thinking about it...think I'll miss Abe for the one liners more than Glenn. And yes Maggie's lost everyone but so has Sasha. In fact the only person who still has some family intact is Rick!

MiddleClassProblem · 26/10/2016 10:00

This will tell you all about Maggie and her plots in the comics but be aware that it can be a bit hard to read like this as people are alive/dead who aren't alive/dead in the TV show.

Maggie comic book version

OMFG!!!!! That was savage! But i loved it...although i do feel sad like actual people have died. Sad

What i want to know is what the holy hell is Negan going to do with Daryl? I literally couldn't bear to see him killed Blush

witchhazelblue · 26/10/2016 10:36

I don't think it was as gruesome as some of the previous deaths on the series - Noah's was the worst for me I think.

I can't help thinking that Daryl punching Negan was a bit of fanservice, surely Negan would have had him killed on the spot for that.

I was convinced Negan was going to use the axe at some point to cut Rick's hand off, it certainly felt that they were teasing with the close up shots of the axe throughout the scene in the mist with the walkers.

Admit the awful CGI when the hanging walker's head ripped off made me laugh.

As for the sexual violence, I too struggle with that in GOT (it's even worse in the books). But in season 1 of TWD there is this undertone of 'men protect, women clean' that Angela objected to (how I wish they hadn't destroyed her comic book character!).Once Merle leaves and Carol's husband dies that undertone goes away a bit.

However there is that nasty scene when the governor strips Maggie naked. Negan may be 'anti-rape' but he still keeps all the women for himself so hardly enlightened. Will be interesting to see if that bit is kept in the tv series.

MargotLovedTom · 26/10/2016 11:01

Thanks for the Maggie link MiddleClass - I'll have a read later.

I think Negan plans to indoctrinate/train Daryl up as one of his own kensausage; don't think he's at risk of being killed.

MiddleClassProblem · 26/10/2016 11:11

If Negan managed to get Daryl onside that would be a crazy twist.

I think maybe the gender roles evaporating is probably symbolic of the new world. I'm guessing that some of these people came from quite gender set backgrounds but as the old life leaves and it all becomes about survival you just get to see these everyone as equal and for the natural abilities they have and skills they can learn.

I still don't understand why you never see anyone with a bicycle. Whenever they are carless why not get a bike? There must be loads about.

briteside · 26/10/2016 14:49

I am so thrilled that this is back! I just watched it and plan to watch it again tomorrow to digest the details Grin

I seem to remember the hand signal (that Abe showed Sasha) was their 'thing' when they started their relationship.

I know that Morgan was playing with an unlit candle in the dinner scene - did anyone notice that he was actually putting out two candles? Either Glenn and Abe - or two others who will die in the future?

I do wonder if Negan killed Abe because he assumed Abe was Rick's right-hand man. Got that wrong though, because it is really Darryl!!

TheJunctionBaby · 26/10/2016 15:10

I was gutted that Abe was killed, and the scenes of Glen and his eye Shock

It was so brutal and the group were completely and utterly broken. I don't understand why they don't just drive off into the sunset. The US is a big country! They can always come back and rescue Daryl once they've gathered themselves together a bit and recovered!

myyoyo · 26/10/2016 16:59

If they drive off into the sunset Daryl won't be there to rescue.
