Wanted to make this a separate thread to make it obvious.

I didn't know this until I saw it mentioned it somewhere else today. Fox are showing the walking dead at 2.30 am!

I won't manage to watch it - I'm 7 months pregnant and my 3 year old isn't sleeping well but if you were able, it would be cool.

Rock will never be anyone's foot soldier. Can't wait to see what he does to Negan.

That was too graphic for me Shock

I just flounced out of the living room when he started on Glenn, much too cruel for me. I hate graphic violence, I know it's normally gory and violent but it's usually zombie based and this episode just seemed so cruel. I found it really upsetting and I don't find it entertaining at all. Not sure I want to watch the rest of the season now.

No one has explained about the others that we saw get hit in ricks mind - but were ok

I think the visions of the others getting hit were Rick's mental response to Negan's "Think about what could still happen." I don't think any of them got hit in reality, but Rick was imagining what it would be like if they did.

They were just visions in Rick's mind of what may happen - it was the reason he went out to get the axe, because if he didn't Negan would go back and kill them all. Rick couldn't live with that so did what he asked, and got the axe.

What did Glen say to Maggie? I couldn't make it out.

So gutted they killed off GI Ginger, he was my favourite character.

It was pretty gruesome, Glenn's more so when his skin/scalp hanging off the bat.

Bloody hell (no pun intended). What a series opener.

Mrstumbletap I think he said "Maggie I'll find you" Sad

Holy shit that was brutal. I thought they had focused on Abe so much through the last series, that it would be too obvious for it to be him. I'm more gutted about losing him than I am about Glenn. Be interesting to see what this series brings.

Well ....
I thought it would be Abe. Always thought he's a man who could take that thump and look up at Negan again.
And Glenn wasn't too supprising.
As someone said too longer break so I didn't reconnect with characters and cry at the deaths.
But what made me cry was the brief scene of them happy round the dinner table (tho Daryl looked very out of place, hehe). The child on Glenn's lap sob

Well that was a bit brutal but only momentarily.

It's a good job JDM is a good actor. He had a shit load of lines to learn. My god that Negan can talk. Someone just kill him already, fuck he's irritating.

What would the rest of his minions do if someone just killed him? They'd be free surely? They wouldn't mind.

I agree that the emotional impact was ruined by the break. 6 months ago I would have been sobbing like a good'un but now I'm just a bit meh. They missed a trick there.

I will admit that I spent most of the episode behind a blanket.

Oh yeah the Sunday lunch scene- that did almost raise a tear. Did anyone notice that whatsername with Abe was pregnant in it? Sad

I do wonder if they should have ended with abe last season, so everyone thinks Glenn is safe, and there's no cliffhanger complaining, then open with Glenns death for s7. It literally could have stopped with the first strike to abe then every thing the same apart from that, with the flashback while rick is on the RV to see that it was Glenn too. Hmm...

Wow I feel sick so real, so tense. Andrew Lincoln deserves an award for that amazing!!! Did Glenn actually say something I was too depressed by it all.

The "I'll find you" thing is about them never being parted again, isn't it. That whatever happens, he will find her

Totally agree with you on the gore factor, Dixie. Surprised how many people feel like it was too much
