Wanted to make this a separate thread to make it obvious.

I didn't know this until I saw it mentioned it somewhere else today. Fox are showing the walking dead at 2.30 am!

I won't manage to watch it - I'm 7 months pregnant and my 3 year old isn't sleeping well but if you were able, it would be cool.

God there's been some amazing deaths. I might have to rewatch it all over again (for the 4th time!) When bob starts laughing whilst they're eating him because he's been bitten, that was great!

MiddleClassProblem · 24/10/2016 15:19

Lol yeah, I think I found Bob a bit annoying so it didn't hit me hard and was prepared for Glen with the comics combined with Noah as it seemed that was the first time you saw a character you know get torn up so could picture it with Glen.

I think they did it well. When it started o was worried the were leaving it until the end of the ep so you spend the whole ep just wanting to get to it and not really watching but glad they did it how they did. And glad I got to watch it early rather than wait until tonight avoiding the Internet!

Thank you sky for putting it on demand!

Bluebolt · 24/10/2016 16:01

I have been asked a few times why I watch by family and friends. I always reply it is lord of the flies on steroids. Maggie has lost Hershel, Beth and and now Glen at the hands of humans without a walker insight.

TheDrsDocMartens · 24/10/2016 16:12

Hershals was horrific , Bobs was twisted , Glenn's was shocking despite him being a front runner for me.

MiddleClassProblem · 24/10/2016 16:12

I never thought about it like that, Blue. So true. I cried when Beth died.

RedCrab · 24/10/2016 16:13

Can I ask - how does Glen die/ how does it all play out? I'm watching IT tonight but have read spoilers. I'm not normally squeamish but a combo of the deaths and pregnancy anxiety have left me worried Shock Wink Can anyone describe what happens so I'm prepared...pretty please?

RedCrab · 24/10/2016 16:14

Combo of the hype around the deaths I meant to say!

So Negan kills Abe, gives a little speech and then says something along the lines of "time to carry on" (can't remember what") and hits glen with Lucile. You see him come up looking like he does in the comic (up thread) but of chat then he finishes him off mostly out of shot like Abe but you see the after smush

RedCrab · 24/10/2016 17:16

Thanks middle - that doesn't sound so bad. But I guess it's awful on first viewing! So sad about Abe. He was my favourite.

Bluebolt · 24/10/2016 17:19

The episode is really about breaking Rick so he can be a foot soldier for Negan. It had to be hard hitting and powerful for the viewers to except a subservient Rick. If the violence is too much avoid the scenes with Lucille as Negan and Rick leave the group for a large part.

I cried for Maggie! I am interested to see the talking dead tonight I am just shocked! I need to work through the comics...

AndYourBirdCanSing · 24/10/2016 17:44

Fuck. I'm actually speechless after watching that.

Sad
Hushabyelullaby · 24/10/2016 17:56

I've just watched it again. It was so brutal, Abraham upset me more than Glenn which kind of took me by surprise. I agree that it had to be that brutal for us to accept a broken/subservient Rick. It was so sad at the end when they were removing Abraham and Glenn. I'm really interested to see where the series goes now.

Coffeethrowtrampbitch · 24/10/2016 18:02

So sad about Glen. Other than Rick, he is the only one who has been in it from the very beginning. I feel they were trying to make us dislike him by having him cheat death in 'Thank You' last season, so that his death would be less of a shock.

I was worried about Abraham as he was happy in the last series, even saying he was ready to think about kids with Sasha after seeing Maggie and Glenn.
'You won't be sitting round the table together' Sad.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan was a brilliant Negan, I love him but he sends chills down my spine because he is so convincing. Great actor.

DontOpenDeadInside · 24/10/2016 18:16

Other than Rick, he is the only one who has been in it from the very beginning

Carol, Carl and Daryl were also in it from the start "The Atlanta 5" (now 4) Sad

DontOpenDeadInside · 24/10/2016 18:17

Ooo Morgan was also in at the start, but not sure if he qualifies as he went AWOL for ages.

Excellent episode, watched it this morning, didn't expect it to be so good, tho good somehow feels the wrong word..

Thought they did it brilliantly, and acting great, all round. U could feel the desperation and lack of hope....

On a complete tangent...Where do negans men actually live I wonder?
And Dwight and Daryl.... Think they'll kill each other or work together, not sure which....

wotchadave · 24/10/2016 19:33

On the topic of gruesome deaths, I found the trough at terminus a bit much, although none of our main characters died it was gruesome.
Agree with previous poster, Jeffrey Dean Morgan was brilliant as Negan.

MiddleClassProblem · 24/10/2016 19:33

I'm guessing next ep will be all Carol and Morgan

YoScience · 24/10/2016 19:36

Just finished watching, wow that was worth the wait.

Great acting, rick looked completely broken. They all did really!

I never considered before that all of Maggie's family had been killed by humans.

Watching with dd who was shouting they can't only leave Carl with one of everything! Grin Poor Corql. Looking forward to next week and seeing what happens next.

40 mins in and nearly switched it off. The death scenes were just too much. TWD was never really brutal, it was about a brutal life in a brutal world. And yes I get we're meant to believe Rick has been broken. But I don't actually think he is Hmm

Dh made a good point, after 7 months there's no emotional attachment to the characters so while the two were horrific, didn't hit me as much as it would have way back when. And I did bloody love Glen Sad
