Wanted to make this a separate thread to make it obvious.

I didn't know this until I saw it mentioned it somewhere else today. Fox are showing the walking dead at 2.30 am!

I won't manage to watch it - I'm 7 months pregnant and my 3 year old isn't sleeping well but if you were able, it would be cool.

I really like JDM and was excited for him to be Negan but he has become so slim, particularly in his arms. I was hoping for him to be more like previous rom com roles or the comedian.

Middleoftheroad · 13/12/2016 18:12

i too think the watcher is a woman from the new fish-loving tribe.

yes Rick's face whe Negan was telling him was epic.

I want to see kick ass Carol back. I can see a love triangle involving the Gerard Butler lookalike in the riot gear and Morgan. Though if I were Carol, I'd pick Daryl every time.

DispatchReady · 13/12/2016 18:45

Glad the gang are back together but yes, it was a bit corny! Although loved the hug!

Thought they squeezed far too much into this episode, some of it could have been interspersed with other episodes rather than focussing on one character/place each time.

Daryl’s escape was a bit too easy! I think it was a saviour who helped as how would Jesus know where Daryl was being held, but then how come Jesus was just in the right place to meet him – he is such a ninja!

No idea who the boot person is!

Saw a trailer for the next episode, Jesus takes them to the Kingdom and has a walkie talkie from the saviours so they can listen in and keep tabs on them. Did we know that Jesus knew the Kingdom people? He seems to know everyone and everything! Agree that once Carol and Morgan find out what has been going on they will turn kick-ass again!

Eugene will be fine – he is a real asset to Negan. But why did he only make one bullet?!

Sorry I am nit picking – did enjoy it but overthinking.

MiddleClassProblem · 13/12/2016 19:34

I'm guessing only one as its labourious by hand (Negan will give him everything he needs) and it was a symbolic one for killing Negan.

I found it a bit predictable who would die so nothing harrowing other than Aaron getting beat up. And Eugene is too useful for began to kill. He might cut his hair though 😂
I didn't mind that though as you still want big people around after losing 2. Cannot wait for them to meet Ezekiel. I think he and Carol will get together, wonder if Jesus and Daryl will... I think it would be near each other time wise as although fans suspect Daryl might be frustrating if she was with Ezekiel and Daryl was still not answered. I think it would explain a lot too.

I feel like Jesus pre apocalypse was one of those legendary people who wasn't on Facebook but everyone seemed to know.

Sorry ft a bit rambly!

Just watched again (slightly obsessed!) and love the shots of the faces at the end. Thought it was a nice throwback to the beginning of the series when they were being singled out for the Lucille treatment, no hope and totally in despair- now they're strong again and ready to fight.

TheInternetIsForPorn · 13/12/2016 22:10

I'd be surprised if they've brought the whisperers into the show this early they risk getting ahead of the comics if they pull that trick.

Loved that episode. Lots to digest.

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 13/12/2016 23:51

Is Negan going to go spare at Daryl escaping and start killing random people until Daryl goes back?

That was intense though. Poor, dumb old Spencer and then Olivia. She was so scared and she didn't deserve to just be shot.

I think Carol will return to kicking arse when she hears about Glenn and Abe.

DontOpenDeadInside · 14/12/2016 07:22

Comic book spoiler.......

Do you think Eugene will get the "bag over head death"? Is he too valuable for that?

ScottAndStonebridge · 14/12/2016 07:52

I loved the last episode! I was all for all the cringe hugging at the end, such a great ending!!
I think the boots are for the bloke (or woman!) who lives in the boat place - the walker who was in the boat was already dead... so who killed him?! If it was someone else surely they would have taken all the food and supplies? If he just died then he would still be a walker surely?
They're going to have to act quickly aren't they because once Negan finds Darryl gone there will be a killing spree! Can't wait Feb!

DontOpenDeadInside · 14/12/2016 07:55

Maybe that's what the note meant, you win cos u got my stuff, but lose cos I'm coming to get you?

I didn't really get what the trigger was for Servile Rick to suddenly become Big Bad Rick again. It's not as if Negan did anything differently or worse than "normal" (for him!)

I'm also waiting for the Daryl's gone backlash, Negan and co will be straight back to find him, guns blazing, surely? Also a bit Hmm at how the fat bloke's gun just happened to be Rick's old one.

I found the end a bit tedious. All those meaningful looks took too long.
Roll on February though!

StormyLovesOdd · 14/12/2016 11:11

ShotsFired - I think Rick became badass again because he realised that even if the group do everything Negan asks people will still die, someone only has to say one wrong word and Lucille comes out to play.

TheInternetIsForPorn · 14/12/2016 12:18

In the comics Rick only ever pretended to capitulate. We knew early doors that he was planning to rise up but needed everyone in Alexandria to be convincing. I think changing that in the tv series is one of the few changes that hasn't worked. It's made Rick look weak instead of clever.

HateSummer · 14/12/2016 12:26

Who do the boots belong to Dixie? Message me if you don't want to post here! I'd like to know please! Grin

And re Carol, remember how they made so much of her trying to protect Maggie and the baby when they were locked up at that place that they ended up burning (satellite station?). I think Carol will come back to her normal kick ass self to save the baby/Maggie, by realising that she effectively has no choice etc.

And sorry, when I said boat, I meant that large boathouse thing Rick and Aaron were on. There was a dried up corpse that the cameras lingered on and I took that to be the body of the recluse.

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 14/12/2016 14:19

Yes so did I but you're right, he must have been shot by someone. He certainly didn't starve. Perhaps whoever shot the boat up? Perhaps they were using the supplies themselves and couldn't take on Rick and Aaron single handedly.

PeppermintPasty · 14/12/2016 14:21

Yes, most likely. Oh my gawd I wish they didn't break mid season!!

DodoRevival · 14/12/2016 14:52

Do we know that the boat man was a man?

PeppermintPasty · 14/12/2016 14:58

No, we didn't. My bad, my assumption Grin

DodoRevival · 14/12/2016 15:04

Ooh I want being smart to anything!!! I just wonder myself as I'd thought it was a man too - I could recall if there'd been any hint to it (like a name!)
