The walking dead is on at 2.30am on Fox!!!

Wanted to make this a separate thread to make it obvious.

I didn't know this until I saw it mentioned it somewhere else today. Fox are showing the walking dead at 2.30 am!

I won't manage to watch it - I'm 7 months pregnant and my 3 year old isn't sleeping well but if you were able, it would be cool.

Hmmm tonight's episode was a bit slow... so far this series is dragging. Hope it picks up pace soon.

I like the 'Rise of the Women' theory - I think that's quite a possibility, especially now we have this new Oceanside community or whatever they're called.

Yes I thought that last night.

If nothing else it shows Negan underestimates women.

I found that dreary tonight although I can see that we gradually being shown enough new faces that we have enough non-saviours to start a fairly convincing army to mount an attack against them. Assuming they can be brought together.

I'm more excited for watching west world today to be honest.

This whole series is shit imo. Tempted to stop watching it.

I'm going to give them this series. I know what should be coming because I've read the comics and it should be brilliant. They're just going the long way around!

Disappointed in this episode. How much longer do we have to wait to see some action against Negan? A complete non episode really.

Can only assume that they have given the main cast this season off as the amount of on air time so far for them is minutes.

Well I like the spreading out/new places storylines, so

Plus I'm loving the idea that a load of women save the day!

Now they know Negan doesn't hurt Women, all they need to do is send a load of women in. Simples

I thought it was interesting. For me the whole show is 'world's gone to shit, what happens next' and I like how 'good' and 'evil' is constantly being redefined. What happened at the Saviors outpost - the deliberate killing of so many - is clearly playing on a lot of minds. I also like how different groups define themselves, how they cope, what they see as their priorities, what has lead them to where they are - it is no longer walkers they all run from. I think this is the long game strategy and actually, so much time has passed now that it can no longer be about fleeing walkers. It has to be about rebuilding and long term survival and that can't happen in isolation.

Will there be a mid season break?

I didn't mind this episode as I quite like Tara, but just a couple of things I pondered on:

How come Negan killed all the men and boys in this group and didn't get them to work for him/give him half? What makes Hilltop and Alexandria different?

What was the PPP card? Significant? What happened to Heath - he obviously wasn't back at Alexandria and Tara didn't seem too concerned about that!

Rosita's questioning Tara about what she had seen and whether she had seen any guns etc! Daft...she would not have asked her that, it was purely a plot device to make Tara lie when it's obvious she will eventually come clean!

I've resigned myself to the fact that Negan is going to be around for at least the rest of this season so I'm just enjoying each episode for what it is! Last night's was good but I've loved the other episodes in this season.

Negan needs to stay. He's brilliant. I think at Oceanside he killed them all because they fought. They refused to submit. The women were working for him. They said that one night they ran, with just the clothes on their backs, and found the place they are now. That's why they shoot on sight usually.

Negan killing the boys over eleven is really upsetting. They were just children.

The world has gone back to pre-civilisation days where you have villages that don't know if their neighbours are good or bad but need to reach out to each because having allies is better than isolation. But it takes a huge leap of faith each time you meet a new group because you don't know initially who is good or who is bad.

Maybe he took, I forgot her name already, the one who saved Tara's, mother? The leaders daughter. She said her daughter and grandson never came back.

Negan has confirmed he's staying put, he'll also be in series 8 as well apparently.
I can't believe we're nearly at the mid-season break already, then no WD until February 😩

Well. Negan is still in the comics. Not that this means anything at all given the way the comics and tv show have deviated

Did anyone else think this week's episode felt like a GCSE exam piece? The acting + script felt so clunky and I just felt bored.
